Social Profile:

KaCey’s Seafood and More is named after operators Kay & Catherine. KaCeys is a small, casual neighborhood seafood restaurant that enjoys a passionate and devoted local following. Renowned in the area for truly great fare at a very affordable price, KaCeys has become what we kiddingly like to call the busiest place in town that no one has ever heard of. General Manager and Chef Sebastian and his culinary team orchestrate a menu of classic seafood baskets with an array of more creative and unique menu offerings and daily specials. Kacey’s with its casual atmosphere and friendly staff is not a stuffy, trendy restaurant. It is a place for seriously good food, served with passion and care without breaking the bank.

Airy, informal eatery offering low-key seafood dishes, plus classic comfort food like ribs & tacos.

Top Notch Seafood
It’s been many years since our last visit and we were so glad to find them still in business as a premier seafood eatery. We had tickets for a show at Van Wezel and Kacey’s is just 15 minutes away making it a perfect spot for dinner before the show. We got there on a Monday evening at about 5:00 and it was packed with a waiting list, but they just happened to have one open table for two and we were seated immediately. Some years back, they were one of the few places that offered whole belly clams, but they now only serve clam strips. Knowing that this is a class operation, I ordered them from the Starter Menu ($15.00). Perfect. A basket loaded with tender, thick strips of clam with a very light coating and deep fried expertly. Golden brown and delicious with a nice clammy flavor, moist and not even a little chewy. Served with a lemon wedge and a homemade tarter sauce. We loved them. My wife ordered the Crab Cakes from the Starter Menu ($15.00). She is a crab cake fiend and has tried many and these were top notch. Just enough fillers to hold an abundant amount of crab together as a cake, then seared on a flat top. Served artistically on a platter with Cajun remoulade that added just the right amount of extra flavor to the cakes. 2 cakes and all I got was one little taste. My wife really enjoyed them. She had a small House Side Salad ($6.00) with her cakes and it too was very good. The salad had a mix of greens, dried cranberries, shredded cheddar cheese and tomato and she added a flavorful raspberry vinaigrette dressing. I had the Steamed Mussels off the Starter Menu ($14.00). I suspect this was a pound of plump, moist mussels, swimming in a lemon-garlic wine sauce, joined with a couple pieces of garlic bread. The sauce was a nice change from the usual butter wine sauce that is often served with mussels. I left no mussel in it’s shell. This is a very popular restaurant as the patron flow was non-stop during our visit. I look forward to returning in the future.

What an unexpected find. Buried in a strip mall and here is a gem. Big bang shrimp was fantastic as an appetizer, as well as the crab cakes. The lobster roll was awesome! However, as with most lobster rolls you get a 1/4 cup of drawn butter, this was with out. But flavor was great and size was considerable. My son had the shrimp and grits. If you like the smokey flavor this was it. Staff was great and helpful!

Stopped in here for a late lunch based on the reviews and felt a little out of place. Atmosphere wise, this caters to an older crowd and the music fit that vibe perfectly. Our waitress was friendly, but we waited a while on the check bc she got busy with side work.

As far as the food, it was fine, perfectly fine, but nothing to write home about. It all came off just a little plain and lacking in that hit of something that makes your eyes go wide at the first bite.

It’s okay, but not a place I’d really return to.

The food we ordered was very good but slightly misrepresented. Snapper Francaise says lemon & butter (which is typical) but was a garlic bomb. The fish was cooked well. The garlic was overpowering. Shaved short rib sandwich was good with the horseradish sauce. Key lime pie- perfect! Thick consistency with good balance of sweet and tart.
Server, Kinga, was excellent. Attentive and nice. Front-end manager did the business no favors. I was scolded for walking inside to ask for a table. When we let him know our confusion over the garlic in the Francaise he said he is not responsible for the kitchen- only the front end.
A mixed bag overall.

As always, we had a wonderful meal and experience at Kasey’s. Anthony was so helpful with suggestions and so personable. We go to Kasey’s every year when we visit Sarasota and we’re never disappointed. The fish is always fresh and the portions are good sized.

We went for lunch. There is Indoor and outdoor dining. The food was good and many of the dishes were very heavy on garlic and onions so if you don’t care for onion and garlic you should ask about them before you order. The service was good. Prices were reasonable for lunch.

Had lunch with my girlfriend Lobster bisque and Greek salad was impressively delicious. General pricing is a bit high for this small establishment but the food is extremely delicious!

The fish and seafood here are excellently prepared. Everything tastes fresh, appetizing, and thoughtfully paired with the right accompaniments. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which adds to the overall experience.

This is a seafood restaurant with a diverse, well‑rounded menu with plenty of options to satisfy many different tastes while still keeping the focus on quality ingredients and careful preparation with affordable pricing.

Based upon a recommendation we went to Kasey’s while escaping the winter in Pennsylvania. All of the inside tables were filled so we took an outdoor table next to a patio heater. I ordered the Mahi reuben and my wife ordered the snapper crunch wrap. Both items were excellent and were served quickly. Anthony was our server and he was also top notch. Several of his family members have worked for the owners for years and he said they are good to the employees.

The love was felt from the wait in line to exit. Davie is a true treat! Recognize guest by name. Jill was my generous waiter. She recommended my dish and it was delicious! They honored and thanked me as first responder. Pleasant atmosphere throughout. Will be back before I leave my deployment site.
