We had an amazing experience at Kabuto! The food was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned that I didn’t even need yum yum sauce — everything tasted incredible on its own.
Chef Leo was fantastic! He was friendly, engaging, and cooked everything to perfection. You can tell he really takes pride in what he does. The whole hibachi experience was fun and delicious.
Our waitress was also wonderful — attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great service all around!
We will definitely be back and highly recommend Kabuto to anyone looking for great food and an enjoyable dining experience.

My husband and I went here for the first time for dinner. The food was delicious. Not much of an atmosphere. However, the service was very good and the chef was also great. We had the large shrimp hibachi. I am giving 4 stars because the chef realized during the shrimp appetizer segment that he didn’t have any for my husband. He told my husband numerous times, “I got you,” but he didn’t receive it. My husband even tipped him. My husband told the manager, Hero (not sure if that is the correct spelling, but it was the pronunciation. ) and was told to ask for him, and he would take care of it on our next visit. I am hoping that is the case because we did enjoy the meal and the large portions. They are also located nearby.

My family and I visited Kabuto this past Sunday. We were sat within 10 minutes of arriving. The greeters were nice and very prompt. We were able to order very quickly and shortly after out waitress left our chef was at our table to start preparing the food. Everything was great except the mushroom miss soup. It had no flavor whatsoever. I would be back to try their other selections.

Me and my family have been coming here for 30 years and love everytime we go. The service is always so great and the owner is the kindest man you would ever know. As soon as I walk in there with my family he knows us and treats us with so much respect and remembers us everytime. He has watched my kids all grow up and now see my granddaughter. We were just in there on 1/5/26 for my sons birthday and I was sad to know that they have not had as much business. They are truly the heart of Charlotte.

My boyfriend and I took my daughter here to celebrate her 13th birthday. It was me and my baby’s first time but my bf had eaten here before. When we called for reservations the manager answered and he was the most polite of all the places we called that evening. We had about a 10-15 minute wait, the food was amazing and we had Chelsea as a server. She was so amazing, we visited the restaurant on a Friday and every server I had over the weekend I wanted to call Chelsea b/c she was just that damn good. My experience here was great and I would 10/10 recommend this location!

We use to go here at least 1-2 times a month. I went on a Sunday about 6:50 pm. The service was horrible, Angel is one of the waiters with a smart mouth. He got smart with everyone at the table. It was so not necessary. Angel did a Houdini Act (disappeared), we had to go complain to the manager (which she did not care) she was looking like a deer caught in headlights. The manager must be part of tye family that owns the restaurant. We had to wait a while on drink refills and anything else that was needed. This new generation don’t care about customer service. My bill was $100.67, Angel got a $2 tip but shouldn’t have left nothing but I try my best. Angel and the manager need alot of coaching!!!!

Do not patronize this restaurant, they are clearly racist. I will never step foot in there again. We were denied seating on a Tuesday night the day after Labor Day it was not busy, no wait, my son (13 years old) & I asked to be seated separately from my sister’s family since they won’t accommodate a party larger than 6 people. Ok no problem we didn’t arrive together, we aren’t paying together nor leaving together. I told the hostess and manager that we weren’t asking for any accommodations to be made… none. We weren’t trying to sit together or even at the same time. Just to be able to eat in the restaurant and we were denied. I’m NEVER going to beg an establishment to allow me to spend my money. So I left with my son and my sister stayed with her family because it was her birthday. I honestly believe this restaurant discriminates. They literally told me because we know each other we can’t stay. I’m shocked in Sept 2022 a restaurant would turn away people when it’s not busy but racism is real and they lost out on money… which doesn’t make good business sense.

Never will return! It was half off sushi night and those were the worse sushi rolls I have ever had! No meat just rice smh. Service was slow & server was very inattentive. Soup tasted old, dumplings overcooked, got soft shell crab smh grease needs to be changed. House salad was good though!
