This is the second Afghan restaurant I have tried, and I have fallen in love. The meat is perfectly cooked, delicious and juicy. The portions are absolutely massive, easily can feed 2 people for 1 entree. The interior is beautiful in an intimate setting. The staff are all very professional and friendly.

Came here on a whim, as atmosphere reminded me of a thai place I went to a lot in San Diego. The curries we ordered were flavorful and the large portions justified the slightly higher prices. Both of us had leftovers. My one main critique would be that while I shouldn’t complain about free bread, a lot of bread with a huge portion of rice and a bowl of curry is a bit unbalanced. Would happily return though.

Was there on Tuesday evening to celebrate an occasion. There were several tables that seemed to be work colleagues dining together. There was a table celebrating a birthday. It was surprisingly packed for a weekday and deafeningly loud as the evening progressed. Without the noise, it has a lovely and warm atmosphere. But it got so loud that we skipped dessert so we could get out of there.
There weren’t enough servers so we waited a long time for everything (food came out promptly). The servers were pleasant and never forgot to get us things or refill our water, it just all simply took a long time.
My family got the combination kabab and I got the beef kabab/kabab e teka in the photo. The food was great and the portions were large. We each took home half the food we got. But next time I will ask for rare instead of medium rare because everything was cooked medium or medium well. I liked that the skewers are pulled out for you by the server. The food comes with the most delicious green sauce. I am addicted to it! Brought some home and have had it for three days now. Supposedly the old version was not spicy. The current one is so spicy/hot but doesn’t cause any digestive discomfort (which is a first for my extra sensitive gut).
The food is good for the price: the beef was slightly tough, my family said the lamb was good and the chicken was juicy but the favourite was obviously beef. I would prefer to return here outside of peak hours due to the noise levels.

I had better afghan food and this was not the typical Afgan restaurant. The kabali pillaw was ok but the other kebab meat was tough to cut and chew. Service was exceptional and staff are attentive. Location and decor are top notch.

I love Kabul, I’ve been to their Sunnyvale and San Carlos locations and my family has always had a great experience. Staff is kind, attentive, and helpful when it comes to asking for recommendations. We tried their fried eggplant appetizer which was so good, you need to try it! We also ordered their beef and chicken kabobs, with their white and brown rice and everything was amazing. The place is beautiful and the Afghan culture as well!

I love this place. Have been coming here for over 20 years. There are very few authentic Afghan restaurants in the South Bay. Most are in Fremont.
This is the rare exception. Great chicken and lamb kabobs. They have them white and brown rice options. Lawand is great too. And the bread is the best!

We got EXCEPTIONAL service, I had a little brother who was super loud and the staff were very calm and playful with him. Also the atmosphere is really good, it is located about 3 stories up so we got good views of the surrounding area. The food was also great having very good taste and the chopli kebab was nice and spicy and the kabuli palou’s lamb IMPOSSIBLY tender and we got our food fast, 100/10. 100% recommend

Ordered the food delivered so I cannot speak to the atmosphere. I ordered the vegetarian sampler and the appetizer Ashak. The pumpkin in the vegetarian platter was very tasty and I enjoyed it. The cauliflower and the greens were both fine. The bread it came with was delicious and I enjoyed it. Pricing was extremely reasonable and the portions were plentiful. I requested flatware since I was at a hotel and the establishment provided without issue which believe it or not can be difficult when traveling so bonus on the service for that. Overall I would say this is a good value for the money and the food seemed fresh and made to order.

We got the Qabili Pallaw, Chef’s Platter, and Firnee. They were all phenomenal and flavorful!

This has been our group’s NYE dinner spot for a couple of decades. I always get a lamb dish; the Afghanis can definitely give the Greeks a good contest in preparing lamb. We always get several of their vegetable appetizers (eggplant, cauliflower, and several other choices). They also offer both plain white rice and a seasoned brown rice (my favorite) to accompany their main dishes. They also include a generous dinner bread serving. We never have room for dessert. Because I eat too many appetizers, I always bring home half my meal to have an excellent lunch the next day.
