I was pleasantly surprised by my meal here. I just ordered rolls, but the fish tasted super fresh and the portions were very large and loaded with fish. Folks at a table near me had nigiri which probably had the largest pieces of salmon I’ve ever seen on sushi. Prices are reasonable and the service was attentive. Let’s face it, you didn’t come here for the ambiance, but you’re not paying for it either. Will definitely come back!

We have eaten here twice so far and have had a great experience both times. It is quickly becoming our favorite local sushi place because of:
1) the quality of the fish
2) the sheer size of the rolls
and
3) the lower than normal price point for well executed sushi
The decor is intentional and cheerful. The service was prompt and polite.
The location is great. Right across the street from the independently owned St Johns movie theater.
I was surprised to see that their rating on here was than I expected, so I read through the reviews.
All but one of the local guides who have written several reviews gave a 5 ⭐ rating.
PRO TIP: When you see a bad review look at how many reviews they have posted. If it is just a few reviews, click on the reviewer and see if they EVER have a good experience anywhere or if they are a 1 star complainer.
Running a restaurant is very challenging and it can take time to iron out the wrinkles.
Come support a great local family run business and take the time to support them by leaving a review!

Food was so goood, the crab is real is real and not fake it has the sweetness of real crab, the tuna is smooth and melts in your mouth and the spicy tuna hit after. Service was very fast my bill was 22 for all this. The bathroom was homey feeling and chalk drawings.

I’ve eaten at so many sushi restaurants in Portland and this one takes the cake for sure.
We always order the sushi deluxe platter which is 10 pc nigiri and spicy tuna roll, comes with salad and miso soup.
Every single time the fish is fresh, great quality, excellent portions. And it’s different every time. Unbelievable. You pay $28 here for all that which is an unbeatable price

-Came to try this new sushi placed that recently opened about 2 months ago with my coworker on our lunch break.
Very cute and atmospheric environment with the decor and music.
-The brother sister duo were very kind and hospitable. The sister services while the brother makes the delicious food. For starting appetizer they gave us salads with house made dressing and edamame.
-I ordered the “Crunchy Roll” and the “Miso Soup”. Both so very good! We came during happy hour which was great pricing, although outside of happy hour is pretty good pricing as well. The crunchy roll looks like 4 large pieces in the photo but it was 8 total pieces and pretty good size. The miso soup was flavorful as well.
-My coworker ordered the lunch special bento box (not pictured) but it was nicely displayed in a bento box and well portioned for the price! She got teriyaki chicken, which included rice, miso soup, 4 California rolls, and 2 gyoza. She said all was very good!
-The server had great customer services, and gave us 4 of their sesame ball with red bean paste desserts on the house! Very yummy and warm!
All in all, we really enjoyed the place in all aspects and will be returning!

Absolutely wonderful. We had two chicken teriyaki plates and two rolls and it was sooo good! We didn’t notice the teriyaki came with small salad (with sesame dressing, mmm) and miso. This was some of my favorite miso I’ve had out in a bit, really rich. Really large plate of teriyaki. We also got a Nagihama roll (yellowfin) and Futo Maki, a really amazing vegetarian roll that might be a new favorite. And only $6 and $8 each!?! Definitely a great value.
