We took a large group for lunch. There were 18 of us celebrating a birthday. Our servers were AMAZING!!!
I think their names were Gabby and Destiny. They were so friendly, so helpful, and really attentive! The food was really good as well, and the lunch prices were reasonable. I definitely recommend!!

This spot has been a favorite for a while. The service is always friendly and fast and the rolls are always delicious. This time we went for the Phoenix roll (baked, takes some time), the Salmon Crunch and the Melody. Definitely recommend eating here if you’re in the neighborhood!

First time at this place. I’m going to be sharing an honest opinion review.

1.) I got to the restaurant a little after 3:30p on 3.18.2024. The moment you walk in through the door, you can smell the fish. Yes, of course you’re going to a place that serves sushi, but I’ve been to plenty of sushi places that do not smell this bad of fish. This made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. I still stayed and ate, despite the smell. I was willing to give this place an honest try.

2.) When I arrived, there was only 2 other tables that were in use. The place was not busy at all for a Monday evening, especially during Happy Hour times. I was seated within a minute or two. After about 5ish minutes, I was greeted by the waitress. She was kind and friendly. I ordered a Bacardi Mojito with Mango and got it about 10 min later. An unusually long time for a drink order when there’s barely anyone there. Anyways, this was not a real made mojito either. There was no mint muddled. I feel like this was a premade Bacardi Mojito mix, which sucks, but it was still tasty, especially with the mango sauce added. The price was okay, maybe $1-$2 more than what I would have expected it to be.

3.) I ordered Miso Soup, Gyoza, & 3 specialty rolls. I got the Miso Soup fairly quickly, and it was decent, just had a fishy smell and taste. Like I’ve said before, I understand I’m in a place that serves fish, and I do understand that Miso is made with dashi which is fish broth, but this was the fishiest tasting Miso Soup I’ve ever had. While I was waiting for the Gyoza appetizer to be brought out, there was a significant time, probably around 15-20 minutes, of waiting. All of a sudden, another waitress brings out the Pink Princess Roll. Just the one. No appetizer, not the other rolls, just that one. Then I waited another 8 minutes for the other two rolls to come out. For a total of about 25-30 minutes of waiting after finishing the Miso Soup, I never got the Gyoza appetizer. I asked the waitress where it was and she was like “Oh my gosh, I forgot to put the order in”. I told her it’s okay, I’ll just take it to go then, and had her make them fresh to go when I was ready to leave. She told me that the Gyoza was on her, since she forgot them, but she still charged me for it..

4.) The Sushi Review:
– Rainbow Roll: Good! Not the best, but good. Would have been better with spicy mayo, or even just spicy soy sauce, but it was still good. Made with imitation crab on the inside and a variety of different fish slices on top, including shrimp. This wasn’t bad. I truly don’t think this was worth the $16.95, I personally think this was more of a $11-$12 roll.
– Caterpillar Roll: This one has great potential. I love Eel, as long as it comes out to me freshly done. I cannot eat Eel once it’s cooled off. Since this roll had been sitting and waiting, the Eel got cold and gained a fishy taste. I was so disappointed. The first bite was decent, it was still slightly warm, but after that, it wasn’t enjoyable. The Eel needs to be brought to the customer ASAP after being made. I do not think this was worth the $15.95, probably more around the $11-$13.
– Pink Princess Roll: This one was my absolute favorite!! The flavor was perfect, the presentation was normal, and the serving size was large! Do I think this is worth the $19.95, no, probably $15, sure! Unfortunately, I won’t be getting this again just because of the price, but it was worth the try.

5.) The Gyoza, that I had at home since it was forgotten as an appetizer, it was great! The flavor was delicious and even though I ate it cold from the fridge, it was still delicious! Definitely a go to appetizer. This is also on the Happy Hour Menu.

All together, this experience was not the best. I wish I had a better experience here. I wish this Sushi wasn’t so expensive. I’ve gotten Sushi at a better quality, and less expensive, at a restaurant right on the ocean. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. Especially not for the price, not for the slow service, and definitely not because of the smell.

Amazing Sushi and other Asian dishes! Best sushi prep in tge area. Mondo is amazing to talk to and is always happy to explain the process of preparation and his specialties.

The staff in whole is amazing. It has become a regular place for us about once a month. Highly recommend coming here, sitting at the counter and enjoy the conversation and atmosphere.

Our first experience at Kabuki + I wish we would have known about it sooner!!

The mango + K3 rolls were our favorites!
Then the pink princess + cherry blossom!
The TNT shrimp app was delicious + for dessert — the WAFFLE ICE CREAM, I’m telling you, it will change your life.

Adrianna was our server, she was so kind, smiley, and just a joy to be around. And of course, Dave is the best + so hospitable!

Thank you so much Kabuki! 12/10!!!!!
