The sushi is top notch. The Spider Roll, 49ers Roll, Dragon Roll, and Lobster Crossing Roll are all delicious, with everything tasting fresh, clean, and full of flavor. The quality is reliable, which makes ordering easy because you know it will be good every time.
Service is solid and easy. The staff is always friendly, attentive without hovering, and keeps things moving smoothly. It is a comfortable place to sit, relax, and enjoy the meal without any fuss.
We love coming here. It is dependable, tasty, and welcoming.
I went against the grain when coming here for lunch and ordered the Spicy Pork instead of sushi (Everyone thought I was weird). I’m glad I did though as I was craving some comfort food (rice, meat, veggies and a little heat!). Well this place delivered what I was looking for. The veggies were al dente which was a nice touch and the jalapeno’s delivered the kick I was looking for!
I don’t typically venture out into the Antioch area but if I’m ever in that neck of the woods again I’ll definitely come back. If you’re reading this and your in the area, I you stop by too!
The appetizers came in the cutest boat serving dishes. My dish also came with a miso soup which arrived before the appetizers so I went back and forth between them. A little sad the tempura only had one of each vegetable but the batter was perfect so the food was delicious. The gyoza was also perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. My katsudon seemed at first to be lacking enough katsu but after eating a bit, it definitely was super filling. I wasn’t able to finish all the rice and half a katsu strip. The sauce on it was good and they included and extra sauce dish to be able to dip my katsu in. The katsu was yummy, nice and crunchy. The vegetables were a delicious addition to the dish. Overall, the prices weren’t bad and was pretty affordable for Japanese food. I’d definitely make this a regular spot for our Japanese fix. If you’re in the area, make sure to give this business some love.
I bought one here cuz I want to try new places. I came in around 7:30 pm 05/12/22.
Place: Looks nice although the shop is covered w/ bamboo.
Lady in front: She’s fine. Nicer than the front staff at Lone Tree Buffet.
Cost: $40+ for all of them.
Waiting Time: Almost 30 mins. There was 3 customers who picked up their orders before me & only one family was eating when I got there.
Food: Unfortunately, this is just terrible. Teriyaki beef is very difficult to chew. I forced myself to finish it cuz I don’t want to waste money. The veggies & sushi that comes along w/ teriyaki beef taste good btw. I was excited to try the other two sushi. When I tried the two sushi, it wasn’t fresh & felt like chewing a bubble gum. I ate sushi plenty of time at Sacramento (Sushi Hook) & SF. They are so good. But this? It makes me sad that I wasted my money.
As for the coconut shrimp, maybe it’s just me. I gave it a try & didn’t like it. It’s fine compared to the others thou. I probably dislike the coconut.
Overall, I hope my experience doesn’t discourage others. Give this a try if you want. As for me, I’m not giving it a try anymore. I can only afford giving $4 tip so I had them for take out.
I give it 4 stars because service is hit or miss also in reading reviews on Yelp a long time ago, children are seen coming in and out of the back area which I’ve seen a couple times first hand. Not sure if that’s sanitary.
