I recently visited Kabuki Restaurant & Sushi Bar with two friends and had a great experience. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, and everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The presentation was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit.

While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and overall dining experience make it worth it. I truly enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves good sushi.

The best sushi I’ve ever had in my life is here—especially the Playboy and Hot Sex rolls. Absolutely unbeatable. I’ve never had a warm, smoky sushi as delicious as the Playboy roll. Whenever I’m in Dayton, I’ll definitely come back here.

This restaurant is truly something special. The food is incredible, full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and consistently delicious. But what really makes the experience unforgettable is the service, especially from our waiter, Todd.

Todd goes above and beyond every time. He always recognizes us when we come in, greeting us like old friends. It genuinely feels like we’re catching up with someone we know and care about, not just being served a meal. His warmth, kindness, and attention to detail make every visit feel personal and welcoming.

If you want amazing food paired with a comforting, family style atmosphere, this is the place to go. And if you’re lucky enough to have Todd as your server, you’re in for an even more memorable experience. Highly recommend!

This isn’t a fancy, glamorous sushi place in some posh downtown suite, with sushi that’s made for Instagram. It’s cozy, unassuming, down-to-earth, and everything is delicious. Their nigiri might have been a touch dry, but the flavors were spot-on, and the baked tuna/spicy salmon roll was wonderful, maybe the best I’ve had in Dayton. I’m definitely coming back to try their bulgogi

Decided to stop as we were just passing through. It is a very small restaurant. So much so that with us being sat in the middle I got bumped into quite a bit and upon leaving I discovered someone had dripped food all over the back of my jacket. No big deal, I just wiped it off and moved on. Just something to consider if choosing to eat here, ask for a booth. Servers were nice and provided really fast service. We tried the monkey balls, a salad, a sushi roll called the sunset roll, and two of the hot stone bowl meals. All of the food was fine enough although one noted. The sushi roll was amazing! Highly recommend coming for sushi. Seeing other customer orders of sushi looked really good too. Everything was plated beautifully as well. They don’t have a liquor license which is slightly disappointing considering they have alcohol on their menu we were hoping to try. Maybe next time if we ever come through again. The restaurant itself could stand to be deep cleaned sometime but it’s a hole in the wall so ‍♀️

This place does not play around when it comes to sushi. It’s small, but don’t let that fool you the menu is packed with options, from classic rolls to Korean BBQ.
My go to is the Mafia Roll, which is perfect if you’re trying to dodge the consequences of deep fried temptation. That said… the deep-fried salmon crunch roll is my guilty pleasure the one roll I allow myself to enjoy without overanalyzing my life choices.
They also offer sushi boats loaded with a variety of options, perfect for big groups who want to sail the sushi seas together.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting. pleasant lighting, friendly service, and a genuinely kind couple who greet customers like they’re truly happy you showed up.
Now, if your plan involves getting tipsy with a date or dramatically drowning your sorrows minor plot twist, they haven’t renewed their liquor license. However, you can bring your own alcohol for a small corkage fee, so the dream isn’t dead just slightly DIY.
Worth every dollar. Easily the best sushi in Centerville.

My husband took me here as a surprise anniversary date, and it did not disappoint! I will say, we did order quite a bit, but it was worth trying multiple things.
Food:
For starters, we had miso soup, house salad and their kimchi pancake. The miso soup was amazing bit salty for my palate. The house salad paired perfectly with the ginger dressing as it was crispy and tangy. Lastly, the kimchi pancake or buchimgae, texture wise – spot on like we remembered from South Korea. Unfortunately, the flavor was missing that kimchi kick and it felt that the batter wasn’t salted enough. However, it was still very good. If they served it with the Korean mayo dip sauce, I think it may have paired quite well with this.
The main dishes we ordered brought us back to our traveling days in South Korea. The bibimbap was spot on! The vegetable soon tofu, was delicious, but reminded me more of sujebi then it did soon dubu. The flavor was very different, but I assume because it was missing the typical ingredients as this was a vegetarian version. But don’t get me wrong it was still delicious. It tasted more like sujebi to me, which if they had that option, I’d be all over this dish.
The sushi rolls were also very delectable. The seaweed roll, surprised me most in terms of it’s taste. I really enjoyed the slight crunch to it. It’s hard to describe the flavor combination, but I really enjoyed it. For those that aren’t for the “slimy” texture as some might describe it, this wouldn’t be for you. Honestly, was a great pair with rice and nori.
We also tried their kabuki naruto, which was good, but didn’t have that vinegar kick that we were used to. But it was still very delicious.
The mafia roll was probably our favorite. It was spectacular! They had a great variety of sushi with vegetarian options.
Overall, the food to me was 9/10. My husband rated it an 11/10. But you be the judge and try it for yourself.

Atmosphere:
Reminded me of the small Korean restaurants we would visit. We loved the feel of it being close by. I was almost tempted to shout my order like they do in SK. Hahahaha But it’s a place that can accommodate various outing situations. Whether you’re on a fancy date, a casual family get together or a friends night out, this place is great no matter the occasion. A definite 10/10.

Service:
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He was ready to clean our table of empty dishes to free space for more food. Hahahaha . He was very patient and extremely kind. The managers were also very sweet. They found out we went to Korea so they gave is some homemade kimchi. We had no idea they served it, but it was a nice treat. Overall experience was a 10/10

Went with my father and sister for a birthday event.Right off the bat atmosphere was amazing! Was greeted on the way in and shown to our table. The waiters were amazing and really kind. The two or three cooks were the only ones making food and still were able to serve everybody in the building at unreal speeds. And not to mention how AMAZING the food was, everything was PACKED with so much flavor, yet it wasn’t overwhelming. I would gladly spend double the price of everything to have the same experience. 10/10 WILL come again!!!

Always a lovely meal here. My husband and I had our first date here and recreate it for anniversaries. The Kimchi pancake is always delicious. We have not had a roll yet we didn’t love.
