My best friend brought me here to try some of her authentic Northern Chinese dishes… and WOW..

Absolutely, incredibly delicious! Not only was the food fresh and flavorful, but the service was top notch!

They were so warm and welcoming here! I’m already looking forward to coming back to try more food.

This is one of the many Chinese BBQ kabobs shops in the area. While it is not my favorite, there are definitely some dishes here that stand out and make them unique.

I am specifically obsessed with their juicy boiled dumplings. The inside of tender and juicy, dripping with broth. The outside is perfectly toothsome handmade dough. Making for the perfect combination.

Before saying which chuan chuan house is your favorite, consider trying them all before you decide.

Best Chinese kabobs in Gwinnett County! You know this is authentic when you’re the only non-Asian in a busy restaurant throughout our entire dining experience. I saw multiple comments about customer service, but we had a wonderful experience. The waiter took time to explain the menu and make suggestions. The food comes out as it is prepared and not altogether. The prices were reasonable for the great taste and portion sizes. The kabobs were grilled but moist and were marinated with something wonderful. We tried lamb and beef kabobs. The corn on the cob was good. We loved the beef fried rice, chicken fried rice, chicken fried noodles. There are no fountain frinks but a good selection of bottled drinks and beers. If you’re interested in an authentic Chinese kabob experience with other great authentic food come to Kabobs House. One point to make there are two separate restaurants, this is the one NOT on the corner.

Absolutely delicious authentic north eastern Chinese food here! The cumin lamb and beef skewers are a must. Best Chinese skewers in Atlanta at a reasonable price. Brought a few friends here, and they have loved it too. Must try!

Dined in an hour or so before closing. My eating buddy and I were the only ones in there initially. 2 more groups came after us, and 1 more tried to get seated 10 mins before closing…but the server said “We are closed” very bluntly with no sorry or anything and rushed them out, which I thought was kinda rude, he could have been a little nicer. Our service was just ok, he did past my table a few times and didn’t refill my water when it was clearly empty.

Anyway, this is a small establishment with a few booths on both sides and few tables in the middle. The open kitchen is in the back of the restaurant. The menu is basically Chinese food with the main thing being kabobs. Here’s what we ordered and the ratings accordingly:

Kabobs:
I’m pretty sure they use the same seasoning/sauce on all of the kabobs by the way.
– Fish cake 7/10.
– Shrimp: 7/10.
– Beef tendon ball 6/10. Kinda dry.
– Squid tentacles 7/10. The only one that didn’t come on a skewer, it did come with scissors so we can cut it up though.
– Mushroom wrapped with pork belly: 10/10. This was the best kabob in my opinion. They use enoki, which are one of my favorite mushrooms and it paired well with the pork belly.
– Chicken heart (I don’t eat these, eating buddy got it…so can’t rate)

Other dishes:
– Hot & numbing beef spicy pot: 4/10. Despite the name, unfortunately it was not spicy or numbing at all. The star of the dish, the beef, was just very lacking. I took it home and had to add more flavor and seasoning to make it taste good. However, I did enjoy the lotus root and potatoes in it.
– Steamed pork buns: 6/10.

Overall rating: This place was alright, 3/5 stars. I wouldn’t get anything other then kabobs next time, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here again to be honest. All the kabobs were just average to me.

Taking price and taste all together into account, it could be the best Chinese BBQ choice in Atlanta. We ordered lamb, beef and cauliflower kabobs, and they are all very tasty. The pan-fried pie and zha-jiang noodles is okay, but big portion.

We’ve been to this place a few times. Used to love their kabobs but this evening was a big disappointment. The kabobs tasted very different from the last time we visited. The lamb doesn’t taste like lamb, the beef kabobs were a little bland. The pork belly with mushroom was decent. The braised pork with rice isn’t at all flavorful. And the worst was 小龙包. I honestly have not had one that tasted as bad as these. The skin was thick and hard, the filings were dry and there weren’t any soup in the 小龙包. I took a bite and we left the dish untouched. Such BIG BIG disappointment! This will be the our last time there for sure!

Food is average. Sanitation is questionable. Table was wet and dirty with a piece of food on it when we first sat down. Utensil bin is greasy with chili oil all over on chopsticks and straw wrappers. The waitress with bob hair doesn’t seem want to serve us, we got less attention than other customers and of course she was blaming on the corner seats that they assigned to us. Took forever for her to finally come get our order, and didn’t even bother to ask what we’d like to drink or order, just standing there in silence. No longer the “Kabob House” that I like and not seeing an effort of service, won’t go back again.
