Food is amazing. I arrived at opening and ordered chicken kabab meal. The rice, hummus, and chili is taste I’ve never experienced at any Mediterranean restaurant. I will say I was not in a hurry at all, and that said the chicken did take a while to cook but in my opinion that’s a good thing because it is fresh, not burnt or dry.
I am sitting here for a second time and preferred to stick with the same meal expect I ordered fries and baklava. Next visit I’m getting the lamb chops for sure.
The atmosphere is “poor boy cafe” nothing fancy just good food and wobbly tables.

Our family’s favorite restaurant in Porterville, hand down! We have ordered their food many times. We have tried almost everything on their menu.They are so heavenly delicious and such a great price. I personally love their sharwama. I love their hummus so much with the olive in it. Always fresh and friendly service.

This afternoon, we decided to come give this place a try. We love Mediterranean food and love to try new places that we haven’t been to.
I was greeted by the cook with a delicious sample of chicken schwarma. It was so good, we got a plate of it, along with some French fries.
The plate of food was as good as it looked in the picture.
Although the fries had a good seasoning on them, they were not crispy. They were so soggy and undercooked. Fries aren’t supposed to bend like spaghetti noodles and be squishy with grease.
The menus on the tables were disgusting. They had dried food on them, and the tables were sticky.
My wife and I both used the restroom on separate occasions, and the restroom smelled of cigarette smoke. Also, the floors were dirty.
All of my negative comments can easily be fixed with a little elbow grease and some better housekeeping.

This was the best lamb shank I have ever eaten . So tender and a huge serving. I ate there 2 days ago and brought leftovers home. I am eating them right now. The Greek salad in the Lamb Shank plate was delicious. The rice and extra serving of pita bread were served. The hummus was great too. I have been to many Mediterranean restaurants in Vegas Bakersfield Arizona Texas and California, this is my favorite. I don’t live in town but when I go work again in Portervillle I will definitely go back. And the plate was only $20 for about 2 servings worth of food. I love it . Friendly service, nice place to eat inside.

This Mediterranean food was amazing. I walked in and was greeted very well. I felt welcomed as soon as I stepped into the restaurant. I also mentioned it was my first time so I was asked if I wanted to sample the chicken shawarma. I sampled it and it was delicious. So I asked for a plate of it which is #1. They are very friendly and it’s a clean environment. I’m definitely coming by again.

Best Place hands down around porterville. Chicken kabob plate! Chicken cooked perfect, rice deliciously moist.. cooked perfect. Salad ingredients all fresh with not too much dressing. Garlic and hot sauce together is insanely good! Hummus is fresh!.. This dude knows how to cook!!

Fantastic! Clean, healthy, delicious, beautiful, perfection. This little shop is a one-man show on its own. The cook, quite a craftsman, does all the food preparations while the waitress take care of the customers. Noticed the well maintained, cleaned, and organized cooking station and shop; spotless, efficient, and superb. The food came out perfectly cooked; soft and tender chicken, beef chunks, lamb, and something I can’t remember the name that start with a “k”. Even out of the take out tray, with all the sides, looks beautiful. It may take a little longer to get receive my order but totally worth it. Highly recommend!

*Well sadly the next few visits weren’t as good as the first, food was over cooked and took forever hopefully they get this straitened out clean, good food-fresh, friendly owner operator! Large portions. Little unexpected extras like small salad and pickled veggies included on meals!! We’ll go back often.
