Very good option for Bangladeshi food. The taste is real bangali, not Indian like other Bengali restaurants. We had buffet for dinner, which has a plenty of items including 4 types vortas, chicken curry, beef curry, fish-lau curry, two types of daal, khichuri, and plain rice (sada vat). Vortas and khichuri are excellent. They also have semai as dessert. Per person is USD 9.99. I am giving 4 stars only because of the ambience of the restaurant, otherwise if you love deshi food it’s an excellent choice. The service is very good too.

I recently visited New Kabob House in Hamtramck and was disappointed with my experience. The food portions were small for the price, and the Thai soup was served in a tiny ramekin instead of a soup bowl. The restaurant itself was messy and unkempt, and the toilets were dirty and unhygienic, with smeared tissues on a basket. The service was also extremely slow, with the staff claiming they had to attend to large parties. Overall, I was not impressed with New Kabob House and would only give it a maximum of 3 out of 5 stars. Typical Bangla “ভাতের হোটেল” on US soil.

The kabob house.
One of the bad restaurants in the Hamtramck, Michigan 48212.
We have arrived from 20 miles away just I dine in, late night. We have spent about $100.
We ordered.
Chicken biryani
Beef biryani
Shrimp biryani
Beef khori
5 mango lattice (mango shake)
3 water bottles
The experience we have received from this restaurant.
1. No customer service (no greetings)
2. Disrespectful to us
3. Not serving water (we have to ask for it still no water)
4. Food quality is worst ( my little cousin can cook better biryanis than this restaurant chef)
5. Server attitude was unprofessional
Honestly, I have had another bad experience in the past with cha but I let it go but this time I ain’t giving no discount. I could have write a lot more but this ain’t work it.
Overall, don’t bring your family and friends in the restaurant you will surly be disappointed and wasting money and time.

Ordered one large beef tehari based on friend’s review. We were late in picking up our order but once we got back home the food was smelling really bad. No taste, burned meat and some of the portion was smelling stinky. Cost us 120 total waste ..never cater from here. We want our money back.

We ate the buffet and chicken tikka masala. It was good but tikka masala was a little bit sweeter for me.
The place is quite traditionally decorated.

We stumbled upon this place after being out at a late night concert on a Wednesday. It was 1:30am and we couldn’t believe they were open, but they were, and they were more than welcoming. An incredibly nice staff helped us pick what we wanted and we feasted on some of the best curry I’ve ever had. It was a great experience to cap our evening with. It is a little gem in the neighborhood that everyone should try.

The workers are very nice! However, they should improve on the food quality. The foods were cold/frozen and they don’t have anything to warm it up before serving. This is the second time been there and still it’s same 🙁 if you like frozen foods then you’ll like it

There were a lot of items. I never imagined that for an $8 buffet I would get Elish fish, goat, beef, chicken curry, roast, butter chicken, tehari, biryani, and what not!!!! Lots of bhortas, snacks and dessert too. Most of the food were delicious. I know that I went on the grand opening day and what I experienced is not going to be normal menu otherwise they will go bankrupt, but man I was impressed with all those expensive items. There were minor issues like some of the food was a little cold but that was expected as they were serving 60+ items and probably 100 people all at once. Keep up the good work and will be returning.
