We started with the Special Biryani that came with goat, chicken, and shrimp. The taste was quite good — aromatic and well-seasoned — but the portion was shockingly small for the $19 price tag. It was served on a single plate with very limited quantity (photo attached), definitely not worth the cost.
Next, we tried the Chicken 65 Biryani. The chicken pieces were large and didn’t resemble authentic Chicken 65 — they lacked the crispiness and flavor you’d expect. Worst of all, we found a hair in the biryani, which was completely unacceptable. For $17.99, the quantity was again disappointing.
We also ordered Chilli Chicken, which tasted fine, but the portion size was again very underwhelming.
On top of all that, the service was extremely poor. When we entered the restaurant, no one welcomed or even acknowledged us. After sitting for over 10 minutes, we had to call the staff ourselves to place the order. They were inattentive and seemed to neglect our table completely.
Verdict:
While a few dishes had good flavor, the poor service, small portions, high prices, and lack of basic hygiene made it a very frustrating experience. Definitely not worth the money or the time.
I recommend the Vegan Lunch Special priced at $15. It comes with 2 curries (Channa Masala & Palak Paneer) & 1 appetizer (Onion Pakora), served with a huge naan and a good quantity of rice. Everything in the box tasted delicious with plenty of leftovers. Their tandoori chicken was delicious as well but too oily for my liking.
Service is pretty fast and the food quality has been consistent through all my orders.
I got a lamb wrap to take home For a family member, they said they enjoyed it. The gentleman who came and checked on us was nice and was friendly. Will I return? Probably not. But if you’re in the neighborhood, give them a try.
Food took forever to come and the atmosphere was avg; neighborhood a bit shady too
Pricy for the food and service
We ordered the mutton biryani, achari gosht, naan, chicken fries, fried fish, and even grabbed some rolls. Everything was so flavorful, and the portions were very generous
It was a little on the spicy side ️, so I’d definitely recommend requesting less spicy if you’re sensitive but overall, such a great experience trying it..
Whenever we’re back in town, this spot is 100% on our list again
