Ordered an iced mocha, cold brew, and a cookie. It’s a little pricy but a nice place to hang out and stop on the long drive from Kona to Punaluu Black Sand Beach. Plenty of parking, limited seating.

Incredible coffee shop – lots to offer – probably best one in the area.
We got the matcha (w/Macademia nut flavoring) and drip.
Luke the barista was very personable and incredibly friendly. We’ll be back if we travel this way again.

The absolute best coffee we had on island! The roaster (dad of the family) really knows how to bring out the nuance of Hawaiian coffee and we greatly enjoyed an Aeropress while there, as well as the bag we brought back home. We were really sad we hadn’t bought more, as we never found any other place during our trip that did such a fantastic job handling their coffee. Any time we are on the Big Island from now on, we will drive out of our way to pick up some BOAR coffee at Ka Lae!

This place is so special!! For the 100% ka’u bean drinks, they let you pick light or medium roast (even the espresso)! I had a light roast 100% ka’u oat latte, and I was DANCING! We also got a medium roast pour over that was great, too! We went back after trying it to buy some beans.

The best place I found to experience local Ka’u coffee. I ordered a light roast, sourced entirely from their family plantation (i.e., single origin), in an AeroPress preparation. It beautifully expressed both the punchy and nuanced flavors of this volcanic coffee. While watching the preparation, I got to hear about their family-run operation from bean to brew.
My only regrets are that I didn’t take a picture or order a bigger size.

This cafe was fantastic. I actually stopped by twice in the same day. The staff was great and very nice, the patio is nice to sit on you will probably see a bunch of lizards. The thing to get here without a doubt is the 7 later brownie thing. It’s the thing on the bottom shelf in my picture under the cookies. It is delicious.

Great local place that serves coffee grown on South Point Road. They use medium roast Boar brand Kau coffee. Really tasty! Plenty of outside seating. They also have a few pastries made in-house. Plenty of parking in a non-gated lot. Great local atmosphere. They have a bathroom. Definitely worth a stop!

Love this coffee shop! They serve locally grown Ka’u coffee. Great coffee, atmosphere, and service. Perfectly located in the middle of Naalehu town. We love that they recently added a little playhouse for the kids. Great place for parents to have a coffee and let the little ones run around. My boys especially love seeing the ambulance and off road fire truck next door!
