First time here and we were really happy with everything we got. The service was great, the steam was so tender it melted in my mouth. The onion soup was incredible!!! Hibachi was yummy and the sweet carrots are the perfect level of sweet! Look forward to returning!

Just went during the soft opening and was really impressed. To start the place is very clean and new looking. Its an order at the counter and they bring the food kind of place but don’t knock it. I have never seen this kind of restaurant. Its like fast food hibachi but not fast food like McDonald’s, like good stuff.
I got the shrimp and steak bowl, my wife did steak and chicken bowl. We got the edammame and spring rolls as an app.
Edammame was good, no complaints at all
Special spring rolls were OK. We weren’t a fan of the chicken and think the veggie would have been a better option
Bowls…chicken and shrimp were fantastic. Well cooked and tasted great. Steak didn’t seem like a great cut and we had some grizzle bites but overall not bad. Veggies and rice were good flavor but as a recommendation the veggies could stand to be cooked a little longer. Would love to see a pork fried rice!
Overall I think its a solid 4 with a 5 potential for sure. Oh and also should mention the staff was great. Although we didn’t have to interact much they did come by often checking in with us

The food is top tier! Everything is delicious! It’s clean, the staff is great (Brenda and lynn are so friendly) , and the wait isn’t long. Highly recommend. The kimchi fries, fusion tacos (shrimp), and the burrito (steak was so tender and flavorful) was amazing! Very filling. The portions are nice, especially for the price. Went 2 days in a row.

New japanese restaurant opened in Mooresville. They have a hard to maneuver drive thru because it runs behind the back of the building, but it’s so convenient to have a drive thru option. I highly recommend calling ahead. My first order I called ahead, and the second order I orfered online and the order wasn’t so great.
But, I have to admit how great the salmon hibachi is. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The salmon itself was perfectly done — not overcooked, like most restaurants do. It was tender, juicy and well seasoned. You have the option of sides (rice or noodles), which is great. I wish this place was opened on Sundays, but they are definitely going on my regular list, and I’m looking forward to trying some other things on the menu.

Absolutely fire. This is my first time coming and I tried something they hadn’t made before. I ordered their burrito but replaced the rice with noodles and lemme tell y’all… Straight BOMB!!!! I also got the spicy kimchi fries to share and my boyfriend got their quesadilla, every bite hit the mark 100%. The girls at the counter were super nice and fun to talk to, and the manager was very kind to reach out to the owner on the spot to give the burrito concept a try. I’m sure my camera doesn’t do it justice, but 10/10.

It’s spacious, bright, and modern—an inviting atmosphere all around. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the classic crab rangoon—perfectly crisp with a creamy, flavorful filling. The kimchi fries were fantastic! I’m usually not one to rave about fries, but the kimchi seasoning and toppings paired with them perfectly. I had the chicken burrito, which was surprisingly pleasant, especially with the sauce and a kick of sriracha. The hibachi was exactly what I hoped for—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. And of course, the best part of any Japanese hibachi: the white sauce. Very happy they got it right—rich, flavorful, and downright addictive. Overall, a wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

What an amazing addition to the 28115 area, aka Mooresville! Ka Japanese Kitchen is exactly what this community needed—especially in a food desert like Mooresville. The space is hip, beautifully designed, and incredibly clean. You can immediately tell how much heart and care went into creating this place.
I visited during their soft opening and was blown away. Even with a limited menu, everything was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The fries with toppings were insanely good, and the lettuce wraps were packed with bold, delicious flavors. It’s clear the full menu is going to be something special.
Can’t wait to come back for the poke bowls and other Asian fusion dishes once the full menu rolls out. Ka Japanese Kitchen is a must-try spot—don’t sleep on it!
