It’s been years since I visited a drive-in. This place brings back incredible memories of a simpler time. The service was incredibly friendly, the food was made to order and was piping hot and fresh. Definitely a strange location, but relatively easy to find without getting lost (it’s literally right off of the exit if you’re heading south on I-5). It is a bit expensive (but all dining out is expensive now), but I felt like I got value for my money. I didn’t have any ice cream, but I witnessed several people leaving with ice cream cones that looked delicious. If you are hungry and can fit this place into your driving schedule, I highly recommend you stop and support them. 100 times better, and healthier, than the chain restaurant garbage (for the same genre of food) hands down!

This ice shop is falling apart but has some amazing deals on some really good ice cream.
We got a scoop of the black cherry, maple nut, pecan prealin, spumoni, cookies and cream and the triple chocolate. We also got a grilled chicken sandwich. The nutty flavors were our favorites, followed by the black cherry, we liked this because they were more unique and not as traditional tasting. The only one we didn’t care for was the spumoni. The sandwich was ok but considering it was more expensive than the ice cream there is no reason to waste you money on it.

It’s hard to see this place coming from southbound on I-5. Just be ready to turn around after that loop. Can be a little confusing, but other than that, once you here, it’s a nostalgic, cool little place with plenty of outdoor seating. The parking is a little rough if there are a lot of people. Super friendly staff, We stopped here on our way to Rogue and got some shakes and ice cream. The burgers were just okay, nothing special. It is a little silly to be charged for ketchup and ranch. The shakes are thick and really good and most important fresh!, so this place is good for ice cream and an okay burgers. I almost forgot we ordered the jalapeño poppers. They were terrible and soggy, but due to the uniqueness and customer service, I won’t let that affect the review. I will say it is super weird and upsetting that there are no restrooms available to customers. Good this there’s a rest stop going down south about 7-8 min down the road.

K&R Drive-In has existed since I was a kid, so at least 40 years now! We used to always stop on the way to my grandparents house. If you’re driving along I-5 and they are open, stop here! Even if it’s just to get an ice cream. It’ll make you feel old but young at heart.

I always love stopping here when we are headed south. The milkshakes are always delicious. The onion rings are wonderful, and the portions are huge. This is just plain great down to earth drive-in food. The picnic tables were clean, but they do look out on a gravel lot with lots of freeway noises. There was always plenty of parking, and the extra lot was great for our trailers!! I definitely recommend them.

Ice cream/shakes were delicious, pretty generic chicken tenders, and corn dog as expected. Great service, cute stop with fun stats on tubs of ice cream or lbs of fries sold and some history.

I’ve been coming to this fine establishment since i was a little girl running around with pigtails, begging my grandparents to let me have ice cream, although many things throughout my life has changed this place has not and it bring me the upmost comfort! Thank you for all the wonderful memories and good ice cream !

Great place to get a good old fashioned burger, fries and ice cream. The service is great, very friendly people and the food is consistent and good. You can see the kitchen from the order window, looks like surgical center clean.
Would be great (5 stars) if they had heaters in the covered outdoor searing area and some public bathrooms.
Always my go to when I want a cone or burger and a smiling face.

Mediocre prepackaged food and Umpqua ice cream. Was hoping a classic looking drive-in had something better to offer than the grocery store frozen aisle. Not even handmade burger patties, which should be the bare minimum! No music to help drown out the freeway right next to it or create a drive-in atmosphere. The employees were the best thing about the place – very nice, happy, and helpful. Too bad the food didn’t match.

Wow! What an incredible burger. I stopped in here with my father for a quick bite to eat on the way home. We both ordered a cheeseburger and milkshakes. The burgers were awesome and the shakes were thick and creamy. Wait time was minimal and the staff all seemed genuinely happy. Fun little stop off the road for great food.
