The food didn’t have any special flavor. The “chicken wings” were actually all thigh pieces—no real wings at all. The soy sauce flavor was okay, but it would have been better with a bit more sweetness.

I ordered the beef dumplings and a spicy pork plate with pickled radish. The food was ready super quick and the staff were friendly. The food was soooooooo delicious. And they were not skimpy with that spicy sauce. I’ll be able to eat the plat for 2-3 meals. I will absolutely return and try a different protein with kimchi. Can’t wait!

We usually order the k plate with garlic sauce and pickled radish. We love the Korean pickled radish! I hope you guys open a location in the price rite plaza in Schenectady you would do so well. There is a few empty units for rent still there

Kimchi was so fresh, it was 10/10. I love the chocolate moon pies. I always order the kimchi dumplings. Cheese fries are good also but they barely give you any cheese sauce, like they’re trying to save on cheese.

I ate here a number of times and the food is really good. I normally have the spicy chicken k plate that comes with rice, spicy chicken in Korean red paste, lettuce and options of pickled radish, pickled cucumber or kimchi for extra bucks. I also had the chicken strips. The coating is a bit thick for my palate though. Do try it if you’re in and around Troy, NY

Cool Korean spot in downtown Troy. I didn’t see any reviews of the vegetarian dish so I decided to give it a try. I ordered take out for lunch on a Friday, and it was a 10 minute pickup. The portion of the veggie platter was generous and the price was typical for a lunch these days (note: dinner portion is the same size) The dish came with a couple different vegetables, rice and lettuce; so much flavor! I added the kimchi for $2- worth it.

Excellent and delicious food. The ordering process is super easy and the service is incredible. I got the chicken plate + kimchi side and beef dumplings. Generous portions and friendly staff! I will return next time I’m in Troy!

I’ve been coming to K Plate for years and they’re fast, fresh, and delicious every time. I can’t recommend this place enough. I always have to get the kimchi dumplings. If you have time to hang out they got cool stuff projected on the wall. Today it was Kitchen Nightmares. A perfect little outing.

I would frequent this spot if I lived or worked in Troy. The prices were very reasonable, and the spicy chicken had a great spice. The spicy mayo was also delicious. However, a light, cool dressing on the lettuce to cool off the dish would have been much appreciated, since it was a hot summer day. The lettuce with spicy sauce on it really didn’t add anything to the dish. My husband ordered the short ribs, and the meat was a little chewy; the chicken was definitely better. Overall, it was pretty good.

Just tried this brand new place for the first time. I must preface this review with a note that I have never had Korean barbecue before so my expectations going into this were somewhat unknown. The exterior decor and appearance of this location was very nice and welcoming. The interior decor was absent and left you with a lackluster impression. The menu was simple straightforward and very easy to understand and order from. The wait staff taking my order seemed less than enthusiastic and was unwilling to make a substitution of kimchi in lieu of a side of radish relish. The prices were extremely reasonable, the portion size of the dishes was very nice. The taste and quality of the food was very good. This being my first time time tasting Korean BBQ I genuinely did not know what to expect, I enjoyed everything. This location is on a busy downtown street and parking can be challenging. The lighting inside the restaurant makes it hard to tell if it is even open if your just glancing from moving traffic. Overall it was a very nice dinner for a great price. Something different with a definite eye for quality in the preparation. I will definitely go again. A new business that will be delicious to support and exciting to watch grow.
