The Hill’s lovingly owned at operated the restaurant for over 53 years, until they passed the torch to the Dewitz family. My parents took us to KN when my sister and I were young . I remember it being good but I haven’t been there in years . We just ate there and it is excellent! Brought back memories of how good it actually is ! We had everything from grilled cheese, burger , fries, chili dog and okra . All excellent and very friendly there as well ! This will be a new favorite place to go again so nice an Amarillo icon is still with us .

I have went back now for my third visit Since it has changed owners, I didn’t visit but a couple of times with the previous owners because the burgers were tiny and I just didn’t like the food but now I want to tell you and I am a burger lover, and this is by far the best burger in Amarillo, Texas. I will put their burger up against anybody else’s burger in town and you don’t have to pay $20 for a cheeseburger OKAY !!! The prices are very reasonable the Burgers are phenomenal. I haven’t tried anything else because I love the burgers. The root beer is always been great a good cold frosty mug of root beer and they have bluebell ice cream shakes but the service is great. The place is clean and the burgers are the bomb and they’re not gonna price you out of town? .

Kendra was our car hop and was absolutely wonderful. We had the cheeseburger with added bacon on mine and grilled onions on hubbies. Cooked great lots of flavor. We hot fried okra, fried mushrooms and the munches to share. Everything was really good, but the best part was the root beer (yummy)

For an old time drive in this place was terrific, chipper customer service, onion rings cooked perfectly (you bite thru the onion) and just the right vibe for what I wanted

Overpriced for way overcooked mediocre burgers. Munchers not cooked all t he way. Paid for extra lettuce on double cheeseburger. Had the same as the regular cheeseburger. Do your self a favor and drive to Stars. Better food lower price!
Glad the owner saved the place but do better!

I love trying new root beers and when I found out about this place I had to try it while driving through.

The timing of our trip didn’t align with eating but we tried the root beer and it was great. Had a good clean flavor, my only complaint is I usually prefer a little more carbonation.

I can’t remember her name but the car hop that served us was super friendly and awesome.
