We had a wonderful experience celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We were promptly greeted with a smile and seated within a few minutes.
Service was out standing!
The food was fabulous!
The steak was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the shrimp & fettuccine.
Our dinner ended with a palate pleasing pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious!
First time customers and looking forward to making KC Steak House one of our favorite family’s steakhouse restaurant.
Highly recommended for those special occasions.

Food was ok, but way overpriced. My wife and I order two appetizers, two entrees, and 1 margarita. Bill was $209, $254 with tip. Not going back. I get a delicious NY steak at Rosa’s Italian restaurant and it comes with a side of pasta shrimp scampi for $36. My wallet and stomach left happier. Never again. Learned from my mistake.

Last night my friend and I had one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, we felt completely unwelcome. The energy was off immediately. The host and servers acted annoyed by our presence, and it was obvious that the environment was centered entirely around catering to men. We are two Hispanic women who went out for dinner as friends. We couldn’t ignore how differently we were treated compared to the male guests. The staff was attentive, smiling, and overly accommodating to the men in the restaurant, while we were met with cold, dismissive behavior. At one point, a male customer was openly grabbing a waitress, and instead of shutting that behavior down, she entertained it and continued flirting. It created an uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly disgusting atmosphere. We had three different servers come to our table throughout the night. Not one made eye contact. Not one smiled. Not one showed basic courtesy. Every interaction felt rushed and forced, as if they wanted us gone. When they dropped off the check, they tossed it on the table and said, “Take your time ladies,” while already walking away. It felt sarcastic and dismissive. Both of us have worked in customer service before , so we understand that sometimes people have bad days. We know what it’s like when your energy is off or you’re overwhelmed, but that does not explain why all three servers treated us with the same cold, dismissive attitude. Our tab was $100, and because of the horrible service, we left no tip. Service like that does not deserve one. We genuinely have no issue tipping. We believe good service deserves good pay, and we tip at least 20% anywhere we go. For us to leave no tip is a big deal. In fact, this was probably the first time in my life I have ever not left a tip. We left feeling disrespected and discriminated against. Whether it was because we are Hispanic, because we are two women dining together, or both, the difference in treatment was undeniable. No one should feel unwelcome or looked down on simply for existing in a space. We will not be returning.

My husband and I were very excited to try this place after seeing so many great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. After reading reviews from just two days ago, it’s unfortunate to say that we had a very similar experience. We’re not sure if it was because we’re young or because of our race, but the service was disappointing. Everything felt rushed, our order was not prepared as requested, and the servers were not very attentive. We genuinely felt out of place during our visit. The steaks and even the sides lacked flavor, which was surprising considering our tab was around $150. For that price, we expected much better quality and service. Other places around town have treated us far better and served more flavorful food at similar or even lower prices. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Horrible experience coming here last night. My friend and i decided to come here for dinner because of all the amazing reviews. As soon as we walked in we felt so judged. Maybe because we weren’t old men who were going to tip heavy for grabbing and touching the women. Literally. Also because we were young and having dinner as friends which might’ve looked like we were a couple. Even if we were a couple, it is 2026 and need to get past this discrimination. The 3 young women who were “serving” us were so rude. Avoided eye contact, did not smile once, and talked with an annoyed tone. One of the servers im not sure of her name but she let the check drop on the table saying “take your time girls” and walked away before she could even finish her sentence. Barely looked at us and had her eyes somewhere else. Such rude service it was so disappointing. We had a $100 tab and unfortunately didn’t feel like we should give any of those girls a single dime for tip. Tipping is always great and never a problem for us as we usually tip 20%. This restaurant was an exception though. So sad and disappointing, especially because it was women serving women. It never hurts to be kind & smile to strangers, especially to your customers that you are expecting a tip from. And it is never okay to make someone feel less of themselves based on age, gender, or sexuality.

Ok. We felt like we walked into a Mafia hot spot! Such a cool vibe! Dimly lit atmosphere reveals unique items like a sunken bar and wagon wheel light fixtures! Food was amazing from start to finish. The service st this place was spot on. Everyone of the wait staff offered assistance from drink refills to food service! This is a must do place when your in Bakersfield! Top of the top restaurant!

Do you want to go back in time? That’s exactly what walking into KC Steak House feels like to me.
The moment you step inside, you’re transported. Dark wood. Worn leather. A fireplace that feels like it’s been burning since the 1950s—and probably has. It’s nostalgia in its purest form. Sitting at the bar feels like you wandered onto the set of a Martin Scorsese film. The atmosphere is mature, relaxed, and confident—never loud, never rushed—often elevated by local musicians quietly owning the room with live vocals or an instrument played just right.
Now, the food.
Let’s be clear: you don’t come here to eat plants.
Yes, there’s a salad on the menu—because it has to be. But you come here for the meat. And let me tell you something… they have the meat. I order my steak medium rare with a Pittsburgh-style char, and it is flawless every single time. My wife adds melted blue cheese to hers—also perfect. No excuses. No off nights. Just consistency and execution the way a steakhouse is supposed to do it.
They do offer other options—pasta, a few alternatives my wife likes to explore—but let’s not kid ourselves. I didn’t come here for anything else. I came for the steak. Period.
And here’s what truly makes this place special: the service.
The women behind the bar. The servers—especially Sammy—who somehow make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit. You’re never forgotten. Never rushed. Never ignored. That level of care is what separates KC Steak House from everywhere else pretending to do it better.
As a bonus, if you know to ask, there’s even a hidden speakeasy tucked away—just another reminder that this place understands experience, not just food.
I don’t care what the bill is.
Going back in time is worth the price of admission.

It was ok. The filet and lobster was moderately tasty with mushy and flavorless vegetables but the escargot appetizer was not good at all. It had a strange thick sauce and was nothing like traditional escargot. The wedge salad had shredded cheese on it and no tomatoes which is not traditional. The room is also far too dark as the menu was barely readable. For the money there are better choices in town.

Happy Holidays, I want to give a personal “THANK YOU” to our Host/Server/Bartender PAIGE!!! Our company just held our CHRISTMAS Party here and let me tell you, she was above OUTSTANDING. She handled herself very professional and very fluid, she went above and beyond, not only was she noticed by many people in attendance, she was an uplift to the experience by her generous and kind service. Paige is what you would call a light for your business, a great asset to have on the team. Also the food was good(prefixed dinner with a couple options, I only would like to add the option to order my steak to my preference), the atmosphere was lighted up, from decorations to the live music that was being played. Great time overall.

Service is always great. Love the moody lighting. The holiday decor is questionable. Not sure if they are trying to mimic Madonna Inn The steaks were well cooked. As far as the rest of the meal: veggies were flaccid, garlic mashed potatoes were dry and under seasoned with no garlic flavor, French onion soup didn’t taste like any I’ve ever eaten (had more of a beef stew flavor and had very little cheese) and the chimichurri seemd to be red vinegar, garlic and parsley only, very wet and sharp, not good. They also didn’t bother to ask if we were celebrating anything special, while asking other tables. For the money spent, we could have had a very good meal at many other places in town for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. I’m so sad, because this restaurant used to be really good.
