I’ve wanted to try this place every time I come through Runge but it was always closed because it was morning. I finally had the chance to go and it didn’t disappoint. They have a big menu and big sandwiches. I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich (comes with no sides), potato salad, coleslaw, ice tea and some brownies (because you always need dessert) and it was $24. It’s a little pricey, but the portions are good size and thankfully it was good. I will definitely go back when I have more time.

Worst BBQ ever. I got a to-go plate that had turkey and brisket. Two pieces of brisket one was all fat and the other was old. It was cut days earlier. It was dry and hard as a rock. The potato salad was a little blan. The beans tasted like they came out of a can. The turkey was actually good. I’m guessing it was store bought. I don’t see how this place is even allowed to be business..

So far the best eating experience in the area. Had the ribs and jalapeño sausage. Ribs were fall off the bone tender, sausage was really good.

Great spot for bbq. Love the brisket sandwich. They don’t have long hours but if you happen to be passing by when they’re open its worth stopping. I wish they had fries to go with it but only chips and a few other sides I still need to try. If you haven’t been you might be missing out.

I may be a little biased cause I’m from Runge but I have had a lot of bbq! Today was the half chicken and it was cooked perfectly! The flavor and the juiciness of the meat (no blood) was just amazing! The sides were delish as well. The price was reasonable considering the size of the chicken and the great sides! Finally got to try this place yesterday and it did not disappoint. Brisket sandwich was awesome. Seemed like almost a pound of meat on there. Great flavor and very hospitable service. Will definitely recommend and I will be back again to try a plate next time. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Great little local spot for some good BBQ. I really enjoyed the loaded brisket baked potato and others in the group loved the brisket grilled cheese which looked delicious. Great friendly service and food comes out quick.
