Jyot India Restaurant was a standout experience for my family and me, and honestly rare to find in the Dayton, Ohio area. My family has lived overseas in India and Pakistan, so we know authentic South Asian food, and Jyot delivered. A lot of Indian restaurants in the U.S. feel westernized, but here the spices tasted authentic and the flavors really came through. It was not overly spicy unless you wanted it that way.

Everything we tried was great. The chicken was perfectly cooked, not overdone. The lamb masala was phenomenal, and the butter chicken and tikka masala were also phenomenal.

We also hosted a private gathering, and the owner and team put together a personalized buffet for our group. Each dish was done right, not bland, not overcooked, just really well made. If you like Indian food, I strongly recommend going to Jyot.

Just India was an amazing experience in Dayton. We tried multiple types of naan, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chicken korma, and chicken biryani. We ended up ordering spice level 2-3 which was more than enough to open up the nasal passages. I’d say this spice level would be ideal for most .

The seats could use an upgrade and the music could be turned down just a slight bit. Overall we had a great experience!

Hands down, this is THE BEST Indian food buffet in the Dayton area having both the largest selection and best tasting dishes. The several items change throughout the week, but their core dishes (butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, choley masala, naan or butter naan, and saag seem constant). They also had a delicious mango homemade ice cream when I visited.

Staff is very courteous and helpful with meal advice and dish suggestions. Buffet is $16 after tax at the time of this writing (not counting tip)

My family has come to dine twice. The food has been phenomenal both times! We’ve had their samosa, roti, butter Naan, and garlic Naan. The samosa was light and airy, yet full of flavor and veggies; the Naan fluffy and buttery, and the garlic Naan very delicious with garlic, butter and salt. Per entree, we’ve tried their saag paneer; I am not usually a saag fan, but even I thought my husband’s dish was very good. We’ve also had their fresh tandoori chicken and two flavoral curry’s. Both visits did not disappoint. Our dishes have been very flavoral, fresh, and hot from the kitchen. Our server each time has been very attentive to our table and gracious toward our little one. The food has always come out timely. The dining area is clean, with nicely set tables you’d expect from an Indian restaurant. Give them a try, and you won’t be disappointed.

Recently Opened , Food taste is perfect. Came to know they are part of Ajanta India Restaurant, Kettering. So obviously taste was good, as I been to Ajanta India many times. I also like the location as it is located next to Indian Grocery store. Seating needs improvement. I preferred Non Veg Thali…that serves the purpose of appetizer , food and desert

I love Indian food and have been to a lot of different places. I have personal preferences but this place did a good job with the food. The tikka masala was a bit more on the creamy than tomatoey side but was still very enjoyable. The naan had that tandoor cooked tasted, and the mango lassi was great.

Jyot India is amazing! Some of the best and most flavorful Indian food I’ve ever had. The three sauces that came with the crispy bread were all delicious. I couldn’t decide on a favorite. The garlic Naan was perfectly seasoned. The Tandoori Tikka was outstanding! They customize spice level, so I got a 4 (out of 5). Next time I’m in town, I’m definitely coming back. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t regret it.

Delicious food with authentic Punjabi flavors and a wide variety. I must commend the quality of the food; even the Naan and Bhatura were soft and not greasy. Enjoy a lunch buffet every day!

Extraordinary! I love Indian food and I’ve tried most of the restaurants in our area. But Jyot is very special. The food quality here is a cut above anything else. The chef REALLY knows his sauces and the service is impeccable. I visited twice in three days – the first time to try them out, the second time because I couldn’t stay away. The food really is that good. I’ve tried the butter chicken (spice level 3) and the chicken korma (also selected spice level 3) and both were astonishingly good. The naan breads are excellent. My colleague, who is from India, said this was the best Indian food he’s had anywhere in the USA. Looking forward to working my way through their menu.
