We stopped here on a whim as our day trip came to a close. We got seated right away, despite the fact that the Coast Guard Fest was going on. It’s small, clean and very friendly. Service was prompt professional attentive and helpful. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items. Because of this I tried the Sweet Pepper Crab Soup and my adult beverage. I had the Creamsicle (adult beverage) and it was absolutely delicious. Very smooth, creamy and I could not taste the alcohol despite the fact that it had 3 shots of vodka. My husband had The Coastie from Grand Armory Brewery in GH. Our waiter told us that a portion of the sale went to memorial fund for a Coast Guard member that had passed . We were more than happy to contribute. I had the Sweet Pepper Crab soup. It is a cream based soup with generous chunks of crab and red pepper. It’s served with a soft French bread slice and crackers. We shared the Traverse City Cherry Salad. It’s loaded with lots of goodies (dried cherries , toasted pecans, feta cheese crumbles, and rings of red onions) and fresh greens. My husband had Applewood Bacon Cheddar Burger. It looked delicious and apparently it was. Our server was prompt with our bill and items were reasonably priced. The food is fresh and high quality. They also have a nice outdoor seating area. It’s off the beaten tourist path and truly a hidden gem to tourists. We will definitely add it to our list of favorite restaurants. We highly recommend!!!

This was only my second time here simply because I always forget that this little gems is tucked in the corner. I brought my parents here to try it out for their first time and they are some picky eaters but loved all their food! Our waitress was speedy and efficient. We never once had an empty glass, nor did we have to ask for refills. She was on it! The food was all delicious, my mom finished her entire sandwhich and I haven’t seen that happen in 15 years! Definitely will be returning here more often!

Overall, we weren’t that impressed, sadly. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday after hearing that the restaurant was being featured on America’s Best Restaurants. Upon entering, the place was empty and there were five tables that needed to be cleared/cleaned still. Two employees were sitting at a table chatting, which we had to kind of interrupt to get seated. The food was okay. The crab rangoon was different, very oniony, and instead of the breading being light and crispy it was thick and chewy. The breading on the kid’s chicken nuggets was also thick, very crunchy, and had been cooked too long because it was slightly burnt looking. The service was okay; we felt like our waitress didn’t really want to be there that day and only did the bare minimum. Would liked to have tried it again at another point to see maybe it was a very off day, as most other reviewers seemed to have had a better experience than us, but we live pretty far away.

Pleasant indoor/outdoor venue. Perch lunch or dinner is recommended. Pecan chicken salad also delicious. They have a shop next door with a nice selection of cheeses, quality wines, crackers, house made salads, spreads and much more. Great for putting together a picnic or a no-fuss buffet for a gathering.

A bit on the pricy side but you get what you pay for. My family got the perch, salmon, burgers, and a burrito. Everything was delicious. The only reason I didn’t rate the food 5/5 is because my ‘blackened salmon’ was a bit darker than I like, making it dryer than I care for for the price, but everything else was top notch.

We had lunch outside and not only were the waitresses amazing but so were the other diners. We had such a great experience. My mom had the crab soup, my friend a BLT and the chili and I had the chicken wrap. It was delicious.

It was oddly quiet, but we may have showed up at an odd time as it was just before dinner. The bartender was fantastic and the French dip slider was SO GOOD. The bun was so soft and delicious. It felt like a hole in the wall dive bar, but was also a cool place to stop as a tourist
