Excellent! Dining room is clean and spacious, furniture is sturdy,and the restrooms were very clean. The food was amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I tried Brisket/sausage/pulled pork and all 3 were great. Beans were top tier, potato salad 8 out of 10. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste but paired well with the meat. Almost everything was sold out by 2pm so go early for the best selection!

I had the absolute pleasure of trying some amazing bbq from Jw ‘s Bbq in Jacksonville.
You can tell these folks know what they’re doing when it comes to meat . The brisket was perfectly seasoned and falling apart tender. We got 3 different kinds of sausages. Each one was uniquely different than the other, but they were all 3 amazing!!! We got the regular, chili cheese, and the jalapeño cheddar.
Omar Herrera got some crazy sandwich with brisket, pulled pork,mac and cheese, coleslaw, bbq sauce, and possibly something else ♂️. It must have been good because he ate every single bite.
All of the sides (mac and cheese, potato salad, beans, and coleslaw) were amazing. I lied. I don’t eat coleslaw, so I really don’t know. Omar and my wife both liked it though.
They offered us a sweet bbq sauce and a spicy one. I really liked the sweet one.
The owner (I’m assuming he was the owner) even brought us out a slice of maple bourbon brisket cheesecake. I’ll admit; the texture of the brisket on the cheesecake was different. Just something I’m not used to. Either way, it was delicious.
I highly recommend making the short drive to Jacksonville and trying this place out.
Unfortunately, they sold out of ribs shortly before we arrived. We cried a bit when they told us, but we’ll definitely be making a trip back out to try them. I’m sure they’ll be amazing.

Decent BBQ, worth the visit if you are in town. I did not get to sample the sausage, maybe the next time I am around. The BBQ sauce was a highlight, and I do not generally use any sauce, but I ate half of my food with it. The spicy one was very good. The brisket was cooked well and had good seasoning, but could have had a little more smoke flavor. I did like the turkey, moist and flavorful. Average sides. Great kids deals, $1.99 on Saturdays.

First time trying JWs and was shocked by how quick the food disappears. We got there just in the nic of time to get the remaining sausage and brisket (about noon). Lost for words on how to describe the joy my taste buds felt. Glad to know we no longer need to travel two hours for amazing bbq when it’s so close to home.

We had JW’s cater our Company Safety Party today and the food was delicious! They offered brisket, turkey, two kinds of sausage, mac & cheese and street corn with all the toppings. Have visited J&W twice now. LOVE this place! They know how to make a chopped brisket sandwich!! I usually will not eat at BBQ restaurants b/c my husband’s BBQ can’t be beat. But, but my mom and dad strong-armed me into going. I will definitely return! Service and staff were also outstanding!

My wife and I stopped by JWs returning home from a business trip. Boy am I glad we did because it was a real treat! The food was excellent and well priced! The staff were great and even gave us some complementary extra including the cheesecake topped with brisket. It sounds strange but was probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. We will surely stop by next time we pass through town! Thanks JWs for a great time!
