Food was good. I ordered fried chicken, yams, cabbage and a fried fish sandwich. Chicken and fish weren’t seasoned enough in my opinion, end of the night maybe? Loved the yams.

Really disappointed in JTSY. Their customer service is awful. It’s always something. A mistake on your order, long hold times on the phone, missing items from your order. Why can’t the young people they hire just get the order correct the first time? The owner is rough to deal with. Terrible attitude. I was in there one time and she was going off on one of the older ladies that use to work there. Actually made her cry, she was fussing at her over the actions of another employee. Their prices have become unreasonable, Philadelphia went down and it looks like Wilmington is taking that same route. The food is good most of the time. But it is too many other options to have to deal with poor service at JTSY. I wish they would try to do better.

It was my first time there and I had a hard time finding it, so, I called to make sure I was going to the correct place…..the young lady that answer the phone was very rude and didn’t want to give me any information. When I finally found it because of poor lighting, I went inside & was met with the same attitude as when I was asking how to find it. The young lady was dismissive, mean and condescending. AmShe walked away Ave another young lady came and took my order. She was much more pleasant but it was still not a welcoming 1st impression. They told me that it would be 25 minutes before my order was ready after about 45 minutes. I’m watching 10 to 12 orders txt cane after me walk out the door, I finally spoke up and said “where is my order” and the young lady told me that it had been sitting there the whole time and they forgot about me. They chuckled about it and handed it to me and that was it. Although the food was excellent, I will not return. First impressions are everything to me and that was not a good one!! They need to change their name to “We DO NOT WANT TO SERVE YOU!!” GREAT FOOD/HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

I purchased 2 whiting fish platter with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. I paid $32 for my food. Opened the containers and was shocked. The fish was fried nicely just right not to soft not to hard. The macaroni and cheese was old burn overcooked and not palatable. The manager should have made a new pan and discarded the pan they served me. Who sell old burn food the customers? Just to serve you in Wilmington has declined over recent years. The older lady with the glasses and dreadlocks is extremely rude and has a nasty attitude. I believe she is the owner. The male owner bald short guy just stares at you and says nothing. The dessert case which used to be filled with desserts from Denise’s Bakery is limited with just 3 types of cakes…. I believe the business is secretly in transition with new owners. Poor customer service and nasty food are a great combination to lose business. Never again no ma’am I’m done. It’s sad because the bald guy prided himself on the quality of his macaroni and cheese and said he fired people for not making it correctly. Well fire everyone and close the doors cause this ain’t it more.

I’ve been coming here for years. This past Saturday was the last time I go. They had a bunch of kids whom are constantly on their phones and they left me on hold for 15 minutes.. when my daughter walks in, she says that she sees that they are on THEIR PHONES WHILE IM STILL ON HOLD. They failed to give me my proper order. Mixed up my sides. My pork chops were a little burnt. They didn’t even have the rice underneath the pork chops, the comes with the rice. Just terrible this place fell off. I dont care.. I SAID IT.
Additional: I called to speak to a manager and the person who answered the phone did not sound PROFESSIONAL, let me make that clear. So to think that Im going to put in a complaint with someone who cant answer the phone in a professional manner is an obvious NO. Also, I wasn’t able to make a complaint because the business was closing. That should of been obvious since this complaint is being fact checked.

Ordered baked flounder , was given wrong order! Was given fried fish! Greens were salty and cold and sweet potatoes were cold! I waied another 20 min cause they gave me the wrong order! Got the second platters flounder was messing broke into pieces very salty !!

The customer service is beyond horrible. And the fact that they have so many comments saying it and it has yet to change actually shows you the owners lack of care as long as we keep spending. The food is good while the portions have definitely changed in downsizing and you charge a good price why are people paying for cornbread smh

Usually my go to after a stressful work week. But this recent order missed the mark.
I ordered through DoorDash. I usually get the breast/wing platter, but this time I ordered the catfish . The fish was rather salty. The sides in the platter (Mac/Greens) were pretty ok. However the side of potato salad I ordered was subpar. It only had a few chunks of potato. One of which was noticeably dark and old.
I gave 4 stars because I definitely will give them another chance in the future… every one is allowed to have a bad day & this is the first time I’ve had food from them that wasn’t good.
