So this review is based solely on my second time and the food was nothing to talk about! The rice and peas was salty, and taste like they just added adobo seasoning to both the rice and jerk chicken. The first time I tried their food was okay so not sure how the quality dropped drastically.

Just Jerk has the perfect blend of spices. Food is NOT salty. I have tried other caribbean restaurants and their food is no comparison to Just Jerk. I enjoy going there. The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. They have the BEST Beef Patties in the DMV.

They only have dark meat chicken. The food portion was great for the price. The chicken was marinated well with a smoky flavor but was not at all jerk spicy, rather a mild jerk mixture on the surface. The rice and peas were just ok, somewhat bland; needing a bit more seasoning. The cabbage was a bit bland and crunchy; needed a bit more seasoning and cooking. Overall if the jerk chicken dish was actually spicy, more juice added to the rice and cabbage, and a bit more seasoning added, I would give Just Jerk another try.

The food was good, even though they ran out of most of the food, the jerk chicken, cabbage and plantains were good. The best jerk chicken I have tasted. I’ve been to Jamaica, but on a resort and the jerk chicken there wasn’t as good as this business (Just Jerk) there’s jerk chicken is great.

Our first time visiting today. The ladies up front were so nice and helped us decide what to get and how much we needed to feed the family. We are gluten free (celiac) and could eat everything except the patties. We got brown stew, curry, dark meat jerk and white meat jerk small meals. It’s so much food!! We tried the sorel (hibiscus) and ginger juice. Everything we had was delicious!!! Will definitely return to this place!!

So I’m a firm believer in praising what deserves to be praised. I have Lived in the lanham area for almost 10 years now and i cant Believe this is my first time finding this gem. I’ve always driven past and never thought the food could be any good. I got The large curried chicken plater with an order of festival. Oh my goodness this food was GOOD! I’m African (born and raised) so i KNOW when food is perfectly spiced and seasoned and baby THIS WAS IT! Eat here and you will not regret it! It’s sooooo freaking delicious!
