Amber our waitress was very sweet. I got a lm nice mocktail and my BIL got an espresso martini.
The food. Omg!! I had the Lobster with waffles, my sister had the seafood omelette, and my BIL had the Catfish with grits. We also shared an order of the chicken wings and the hot biscuits. Amber recommended I have the lobster grilled and not fried and she was right. I don’t like grits, I tried a bite of the Catfish and yes baby. Seasoned well.
The ambiance is a vibe as well. The decor is colorful and catchy.
One feedback is too long with drinks being delivered as we as the good didn’t all come out together.
I will def come back.
Diverse crowd! I love how the managers or staff on duty were doing improvements while we were there. I will remember them and come back whenever I’m in Lawrenceville!
Lots of seating and an outside covered seating area you can be seated at even on cold days since they have patio pull down covers.
Located in the same complex as Marlowes just off Sugarlof Exit on 85
Certain dishes are pricey!
Come check it out!
I got the Cone’Waffle Stack with the Korean fried chicken and collard greens on a cornbread waffle. It come with (2) stacks, but I could only eat one for this sitting. However, it was flavorful and the maple syrup and cinnamon butter enhanced the entire plate. A must-try in my opinion and I don’t care for chicken and waffles like that.
My wife got the blueberry pancakes and a chicken sausage. She was happy with both. The blueberry pancakes had crispy edges and were fluffy.
The staff was friendly and the establishment is very clean. The aesthetics were not overdone. It was definitely a perfect spot to spend a birthday brunch.
The 2nd time around we came on a Friday around brunch time as well. No wait so i remembered to take pictures before diving in. The food was plentiful and delicious both times.
I believe I got the lobster with waffles the first time and this time I got the Sticky wings with pancakes and my sister got the Banana French toast with sausage and a side of eggs. The wings were really good and flavorful with the right amount of crispy. My sister’s French toast was very tasteful with the sauce they layered around it.
The interior & decorating of the restaurant is very pretty with really nice wall art/mirrors and chandeliers. There’s a bar that you can sit at from inside and outside. The outside seating section is still covered which is nice.
Definitely recommend this breakfast, brunch, lunch spot for great wand vibes. The menu selection is big with unique items that you may not find at other restaurant.
We approached the restaurant and noticed a large shared parking lot. We quickly found a spot and headed over. We walked in and were greeted warmly at the door. When the hostess asked if we had a reservation, we said no. She paused briefly to check availability, and before she could respond, we decided to head over to the bar area instead of a table. She said that would not be a problem and we were led over to the counter. A few minutes later, I asked how long the wait for a table would have been if we waited. She said it would only be about 10 – 15 minutes and offered to switch us over once one opened up. I told her we were happy staying at the bar, I was just curious. We also noticed there is an online waitlist to help with seating when things get a little busier. The staff behind the counter was quick to bring us menus and take our drink order. Wifey ordered an orange juice and a coffee, while I kept it simple with just a coffee. He put in our drink order as we reviewed the huge menu. Plenty of good options to choose from. I decided on the Bananas Foster French Toast with bacon, and Wifey went with the Veggie Omelet with no mushrooms. I checked out the place while waiting for our food. The main dining area was dimly lit, and I noticed another counter across from ours with similar seating. I also noticed they had additional seating in their outside covered patio area. The food came out super fast and looked and tasted great. Wifey and I swapped a corner of our dishes and everything was delicious. Everybody we came in contact with was very friendly, and the entire place was spotless. Overall, an excellent first visit to Just Brunch. If you’re in the Duluth area, definitely stop by this Black-owned restaurant for breakfast to get your day started right. As we left, we noticed more people waiting out front, so try to get there as early as you can.
I was dining by myself and had such a pleasant experience. My server was Niyah, I believe, and I truly hope I am remembering her name correctly because I am terrible with names. She was very nice, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit.
The food, the service, and the overall experience reminded me exactly why Just Brunch is one of my go to spots. I will not be waiting another year before I return.
