I had one of my very best lunches in NYC here. The sushi was *exquisite.* Every bite of fish felt like luxury. There are more flashy places but I can’t remember a better deal for excellent, actually high-quality fish. Coming back for sure.

An actual “hidden gem” because you kind of have to know otherwise you’ll miss it. It’s a small hole in the wall spot on the second floor where seating is limited but the atmosphere and staff make it very warm and bright!
Fresh quality fish, well seasoned rice, overall great quality food for a fair price. Will be back to try out more of the menu!
One note: Would not recommend large parties for dining in but they do have catering options that look solid

Super cute sushi takeout spot. Fresh fish and good service. Definitely a cute spot to go to if you’re looking for quality sushi while in a rush.

It was a casual dinner at Jurin Sushi. Location-wise, it’s kind of on an off street around 36th and there were definitely some suspicious people in that area so I ran upstairs, it’s on the 2nd floor btw. But walking up was actually really cute with the framed fish drawings and the graphic cat and sushi art, very cozy and playful vibes.
They had a good selection of sushi on the menu and I went with the nigiri set which also came with 6 spicy tuna rolls. I honestly thought the spicy tuna was the best part so yummy, good flavor. The sushi overall isn’t anything super special but I like how the sets come with either a salad or miso soup, makes it feel more worth it even if it’s slightly on the pricey side. I will say one of the nigiri piece was cut from an odd part of the fish, the spline so it was chewy and had a less favorable texture for me.
It’s a really small space, like only 2 little tables for dine-in and bar seating so it’s first come first serve. Definitely a more take out place! The old couple running it was really sweet and helped clear our table, it definitely feels like a mom and pop place. Oh and they still had the Christmas tree up which I thought was so funny but also kind of charming. Still keeping the festive spirit alive lmao!

When they say they put their money into the fish, they mean it, the value is unbeatable. This unassuming little hidden omakase focuses on what’s most important, the fish. No fancy uppity up charge on alcohol or service. If you are here only for the fish, you’ll get exactly some of the finest quality comparable to that of Michelin star establishments.

Jurin Sushi truly became one of our favorite little gems during our trip to New York. We loved their simple, traditional sushi — fresh, comforting, and made with care. We ended up coming back three times and even placed a pickup order to take with us to the airport for the flight!
The staff was so sweet and welcoming, and they even took the cutest photo of me and my boyfriend during one of our visits. It’s the kind of place that feels both homey and special. Definitely worth a visit.

The quality is omakase level fresh. My favorite is the Jurin Skyline Roll with fresh uni, caviar, and toro and every bite felt like heaven. Super rich, super fresh, just melts in your mouth. Honestly might be one of the best rolls I’ve ever had

Great overall. Fish was fresh. Seating was a bit crowded but we liked the unagi don and the salmon lover!
