I tried the lunar fries. It is a fully loaded waffle fry concoction. It had pulled pork on top of it and an egg with spicy mayo on the side. Usually it comes with cilantro to but I requested that to be taken off.
The bastrop salad with chicken was a good portion. it’s a hearty salad, the dates bring out a hint of sweetness and adds texture, on top of the cherry tomatoes and crispy fried chicken. Pair it all together with a classic ranch dressing and it’s a hard salad to beat.
I got the Jupiter mimosa which is basically OJ and it was mixed with pomegranate. This mimosa was tasty. I enjoyed it so much that I got two!
Plenty of parking in the free parking garages but you do have to walk a little bit.
During our visit last weekend, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We were seated quickly, and they were thoughtful in helping us get set up. There was a short wait before our order was taken, but overall the service was polite, efficient, and kind.
The food was good, though not amazing. The Margherita pizza had fresh mozzarella, basil, and a tasty balsamic drizzle, but the crust was a little overcooked. The Southern Belle waffle dish had a nice balance of sweet and savory, though the chicken could have been softer. The Waffletes stood out for the crisp, flavorful chicken, even if the waffles were a bit dense. The grilled chicken was cooked well but could have used more flavor without the sauce.
Nevertheless, the portions were generous, prices were fair, and the atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the meal. Overall, Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co. serves good food with friendly service in a comfortable setting, earning a solid four stars.
I ordered the Lunar Fries, and they arrived cold. The barbecue pork was still hot but mushy, overly shredded, and aggressively salty. The kitchen should have plate warmers and lamps for finished food. I asked for mayo to try to salvage the protein but, our server was nowhere to be found. When they did reappear, part of the request was often forgotten.
Everyone was likeable and pleasant, so if the floor had a bit more staff, or if our table had gotten reasonable attention it could have been saved.
We waited much longer than expected for the check. During that wait, a bird very generously pooped on me and my takeout, and we learned we were only partially covered at our seats. I wasn’t invested in the leftovers, but being stuck waiting long enough for that to happen was the final straw.
There’s clearly potential here. If the kitchen tightened things up and service were more attentive, the experience could be much better.
My darling, and I read a review about the Hot Honey pizza, so he decided to give it a shot. We loved the ricotta and the hot honey. It wasn’t too spicy for us, but our cheerful and attentive waitress let us know that it was for some customers.
We tried the waffles and chicken , but we’re going back for French toast next time!
If you’re a foodie, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food and a wonderful ambiance! ✨
It was insanely good! Our waitress did fantastic. I can definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for an upscale, casual/fancy dining experience with perfectly flavored dishes.
