My sister & I recently visited our hometown NYC and met some old friends at Jupiter for lunch. We had a wonderful experience. It’s a beautiful restaurant adjacent to the Rockefeller Center skating rink with views of the rink while you’re dining. It certainly put us in the Christmas spirit. The food was wonderful but the portions are small for the price but it was delicious. My sister & I were wanted to eat light so we shared the arancini (rice balls) which were outstanding and the pspardelle pasta with slow cooked beef ragu. Delicious! Pancetta dessert was fabulous! Staff was great. It was an overall fun & enjoyable experience.

Let’s start with the elephant in the room: what on earth happened to the concourse area? I was expecting something in the vein of the former Sea Grill — you know, elegant, polished, maybe even a hint of nostalgia. Instead, we got… whatever this is. A far cry from what once was, and not in a poetic way.

As for the food: perfectly fine. Not life-changing, not offensive — just fine.

The real shocker was the $65 “pasta water” candle, which feels like performance art about modern dining prices. Bold of them to charge museum gift shop money for something you can generate yourself by boiling noodles.

On the bright side, the olives appetizer was extremely plentiful — the kind of plentiful that makes you wonder if they know something you don’t, like an impending olive shortage they’re trying to single-handedly prevent.

The rigatoni was tasty and came in a decent portion, so no complaints there.

The gnocco (or what they called gnocco) was… not something I would’ve recognized as gnocchi in any universe. I would’ve been disappointed, but my wife thoroughly enjoyed it, so I’ll go ahead and declare it a victory.

Dessert was a tiramisu that landed squarely in the “good but not postcard-worthy” category — perfectly adequate to scratch the itch without inspiring poetry.

Overall? Jupiter is a decent meal wrapped in a baffling setting, with a pasta water price tag that will haunt me for a while.

An unlikely location for such a tasty meal. Jupiter is swanky without being pretentious and does a phenomenal job marrying classic Italian dishes with a few more elevated twists scattered throughout the menu. Aside from a great meal, their manager, Pat, is a class act. After learning that the restaurant no longer offered matchbooks, Pat went above and beyond to make sure I got one mailed to my home once they came back into production. A handwritten card is not something you see in your mailbox every day, let alone from a restaurant you dined at 3 months prior. To feel like a priority even after the bill has been paid is a wonderful feeling. More people should be talking about Jupiter and I hope to dine there again soon.

Had a wonderful experience at Jupiter Restaurant in Rockefeller Center! The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Sam, who was so sweet and helpful throughout our meal such a genuinely kind person who made our evening even better. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

I was extremely disappointed in this experience. We did top of the rock tour and chose to have the three course meal at Jupiter. I was really looking forward to it! But it was a disappointment from beginning to end. The Caesar salads croutons were like biting them into rocks. The risotto balls appetizer was good. The main courses rigatoni was just full of pepper and had a little flavor other than that. The proper deli was OK. Seriously lack salt. The ice cream just wasn’t that good. And the service was horrific! She was very inattentive and dismissive. I didn’t leave a good tip, which is extremely rare for me! But honestly, she didn’t deserve it. Lastly, be prepared to pay for every drink. The drinks were between eight and 12 ounces. They were six dollars each and you paid for every refill. Of course that wasn’t explained when you ordered it. I will say the atmosphere is wonderful!

It was our first time at Jupiter, dining as a party of four. The vibe was definitely upscale, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer — very friendly and attentive throughout.

I ordered the ravioli pasta, a Dangerous Summer cocktail, the potato fries as a side, and tiramisu for dessert. The food was delicious across the board, beautifully presented, and everything came out quickly. The portions were smaller than I expected, but the flavors made up for it.

Prices are on the steep side, so I’d keep that in mind, but overall the experience was excellent. I’d recommend Jupiter to anyone looking for great food and service in an upscale setting.

I REALLY enjoyed my time at Jupiter. I am in love with the aesthetic. Midcentury Modernism meets futuristic vibes. The service was excellent. We started with drinks at the bar and our bartender was incredible. Very kind, really attentive, and made excellent cocktails. I went off menu and asked for the Hugo spritz which was super delicious. After that, we tried incredible appetizers (the burrata and artichokes) both were outstanding. My husband got the grilled fish for his entree and I got the cacio e Pepe. Both were satisfying and high quality. For being in the middle of a tourist trap, the food was exceptional! One critique, I do think for the price point, focaccia bread should be included with the burrata but that’s just me!

Had a wonderful business dinner at this lovely spot! Staff was impeccable and friendly, the food was fresh, tasty and nutritious, and the ambiance amazing; the decor lighting and atmosphere was perfect. The tables are comfortable to eat at, they have a great menu with an array of choices that also were beautifully creative. It’s tough to find a good spot in the area to have a wonderful dinner without all the fuss and I highly recommend Jupiter! Really a gem in the area, thank you to the team who created a fantastic experience!

At New York’s most iconic and beloved Rockefeller Center, Jupiter stands as the crown jewel, an absolutely magnificent Italian establishment that elevates this premier destination of shopping and sightseeing to extraordinary culinary heights. This powerhouse from the team behind King sets a breathtaking new standard of dining excellence. The cuisine is nothing short of transcendent: exquisitely delicate agnoli di coniglio with rabbit so tender it melts on your tongue, perfectly battered zucchini fritti that rivals any indulgence, the breathtaking beef sott’olio (a magnificent carpaccio dancing in luxurious olive oil with watercress and shaved porcini that demands to be savored with reverent attention) and a whole grilled dorado charred to smoky perfection that stands as a masterpiece of technique and flavor.
Jupiter delivers an uncompromising experience that honors the legacy of its legendary location; it’s the essential destination that simultaneously delivers impeccable food, genuine warmth, and accessibility, making it absolutely vital whether you’re seeking a pre-theater escape, a late-night wine-soaked pasta adventure, or celebrating a momentous occasion at one of New York’s most storied addresses. Jupiter doesn’t just offer dinner; it offers a transformative culinary experience worthy of Rockefeller Center itself and a reminder that extraordinary dining thrives at the very heart of the concrete jungle.
