My friend and I just had lunch here. The food is excellent. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The lobby is so spacious. We love the Victorian atmosphere in this hotel. We would for sure come back!

Didn’t try the food, smelled heavenly, so 5 stars for the excess of everything else + that great smell. Had Linda as my bartender, and she is the greatest! Talked for the entire time nearly, two kind gentleman came in, and had some drinks. Linda was very relatable and inviting. I’m going back tomorrow, made sure to ask Linda if she was running ship tomorrow. Customer service so great, in my mind, we might be best friends lol.

It so happened that I needed to stay three days in Anchorage and I was staying in a hotel. In the evening I decided to go to a nearby restaurant for dinner. I’ll tell you right away, it didn’t happen. A middle-aged white waitress came up to me and asked for my order. I took the menu, considered and chose a dish with shrimps (I will not remember now the name) on what she said: this is an old menu and this dish is not available at the moment. But I pointed to the dish on the menu you just gave me… Okay. I chose another dish and decided to order a beer. She asked for my id and I showed it to her. She was about to go but decided not to accept it. I only had my EAD document with me (US issued by the way) but she didn’t like it and asked for my driver’s license. To which I replied that I am not a driver and I don’t have a license. She started to get stubborn and asked for my passport. I said that I would not go back for it just to buy a glass of beer in your restaurant. I said: “are you serious or are you kidding?” I said “lady, you need my id to make sure I’m 21 and you can clearly see by my birth date that I’m well into my 20s”. To which she rudely replied that she would not accept my documents and at the end with a sneer added: “Welcome to USA”.
I’ve been here for a year and a half and this is the first time I’ve had this happen, so her “hospitality” is not appropriate. I’ve never once had a problem with my id when flying on an airplane within the US or when applying for a job, but because of her I’ve never been able to buy a damn beer! It’s absurd. The funny thing is, I immediately went to a pizza place and ordered a meal and as a beverage I ordered a BEER, which was safely brought to me. Well “Karen”, poking fun is not the best way to interact with your customers. Although you’re better at being a comedian than you are at being a waitress. Keep it up and you’ll be a success! And about the food I can’t say anything, as I never managed to eat in this place.

Can’t say I would go back. The service was so slow I decided to go back to my room and get food delivered there. Took about 10 min to get a water and a menu and then another 15 for nothing to happen. It would have been fine if the place had been busy. There were about 2 other groups though with one group already eating. The server spent a majority of his time chatting up one table. At least the place is clean and seems to have a reasonable selection of food when you’re able to order it.

Surprisingly underrated restaurant. I never considered hotel restaurants to be super worthwhile, but this place is changing my mind!
One of the most friendly waitresses I’ve had brought out some great food for the price and went above and beyond serving us while somehow finding that balance of not bothering us too much. Great service!
