We love Junkanoo’s! The drinks were great and the food was even better. We got the steak bomb, BLT, and fried fish sandwich and all of them were amazing. The drinks were surprisingly cheap for a bucket ($15) so we would definitely recommend that. However the strawberry daiquiri was the best. There was a 30 minute wait around 12:45pm but we sat at the bar while waiting. Overall it was really great. We will be back soon!

Had a great time upstairs at Fresh Catch Bistro this year. We came to go to Junkanoo for a quick drink before heading home for dinner. The hostess would not sit us for a cocktail at 4:45pm because the tables were for dinner only. She said we could try upstairs. Luckily the hostess upstairs was great and she found us a spot. Kyle was great, Jerry is a hit. Thankful for them! Two parents just trying to get a drink. Thanks for taking care of us!!

16 years ago, we’ve been to the old Junkanoo’s for the first time and it’s been a place we always loved to come back during every vacation in Florida. It’s very sad, that the old location got destroyed by a hurricane but we’re glad that the spirit lives on at the new location and that the food is still as good as we remember. Greetings from loyal visitors from Germany.

We arrived a little after 7 pm. Loved the atmosphere. Great casual delicious dining on the water. Excellent drinks and outstanding service. You will be relaxed without stress dining/drinking here!!! I ordered the appetizer bread. Do not miss this appetizer. We had Miami Vice and Bahama Mamas. Very well done. I ordered the Steak Bomb sandwich with fries. It was killer. Definitely eat here and relax in the vibe.

Nice little spot mid-island hidding behind Publix. Nice seating options, good boat access, free parking though can get full at busier times. Good food, service, and view of the bay. Corn hole available.

Disgusted….
I am a long time resident and I’ve loved going to Junkanoo for years. But….no more. We took friends from out of town and we were talking about ordering. The manager Kieran, overheard our conversation about blackened grouper.
Him- I overheard your conversation and I just wanted to let you know that the blackened grouper can also be ordered as fried but you have to specify that. And it’s blackened, but it’s not blackened to the point where it will be that spicy.
Us-(laughing) a couple of us made comments like it could never be too spicy for a friend. Oh don’t worry we were looking for something that might burn her eyebrows off. We were looking for something that would give some real heat. Ha ha ha.
Him-(laughing) oh it’s nothing like that ha ha ha nothing that will burn your eyebrows off ha ha.
My elderly father – jokingly says, Well, what can you do about people? If they don’t like getting their eyebrows burned off and sometimes you just gotta give them a little smack.

Kieran …. Man who does not know us, has never met us, then leans in to my elderly father in front of me and says…. Well do you know what my dad said before my mom hit him… he said that you wouldn’t have to hit women all the time but they just don’t listen. He was laughing and my whole table just went quiet. I was closest to him and I looked up and I said well I don’t know if that’s the right type of joke for the table. I said this with a smile on my face, I was trying to gently let him know that he crossed a line. But he doubled down. This manager, not taking the social cues leaned in and said well that’s why she hit him back. I said I think that that joke was too much I’m done. He says don’t you get it? He wouldn’t let it go. No one was laughing anymore but him. I looked at him and I said I get it but as a woman who was abused by her spouse, I don’t think it’s appropriate…you don’t even know us.

What kind of person makes a joke about beating women up with a table of people that you don’t know and then doubles down on the joke. He then backed away as he muttered, sorry about that. No formal apology. You might be asking if he tried to make it right, by sending over a free dessert or something like that or did he come back to the table and just say why I am really sorry about that. I hope you guys enjoy the food. Nope nothing.

We are a family that jokes around a lot. We have a lot of left of center conversations and we banter with waiters and waitresses and shop clerks, and our friends. We are sort of known as a very funny family. But to walk up to a complete group of strangers and decide to tell a joke about beating up women because they don’t listen and then doubling down on it. It’s disgusting. I was in shock. Needless to say, after years of enjoying this restaurant, including throughout the summer months, when everybody on the beach needs the business, I’ll be going somewhere else.

We arrived with no reservations and waited 40 minutes for a table. Luckily, they have an awesome bar, great staff and a couple corn hole setups to pass the time. Once seated we found the food good and drinks spot on.

Carlos was a joy and a very friendly and professional server. His attitude and attention to details made for a fun experience as he played along with our groups sense of humor. Cheers to those that want “No Salt”.

Service was OK, I sat by the bar. It took a while for the bartender to take my order, I had the grouper and it was really good. The bartender never check on me after serving my food. I would come back because the view of the water was great and I will try a different food item. The hostess and host were good though..
