First time visiting and I’m genuinely impressed.

I stopped in about an hour before closing on a Monday night, so I did sense that service felt slightly rushed — which is understandable given the timing. Even so, the staff was courteous and attentive.

Now let’s talk about the food.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. It’s a whole vibe — one of those places you know you’ll remember long after you leave. Every single bite reflected intention and care. The attention to detail in every corner of every dish was exceptional.

The jerk spiced sirloin stood out the most — perfectly seasoned and unforgettable. The freshly baked sourdough bread with honey butter was equally impressive and paired beautifully. The ravioli was insanely delicious — rich, balanced, and simply magnificent. And the Thai salad? It was loaded with so many shrimp that I seriously considered ordering it again.

This will easily become one of my favorite small-plates spots. The experience, the flavors, and the overall atmosphere make it a place I’ll definitely return to.

Highly recommend.

We had such a great dinner at Juniper & Ivy and will absolutely be back next time we’re in San Diego. The meal started with the House Sourdough, perfectly warm and served with honey butter — simple but done so well.

We tried a few small bites next. The Arancini was the only dish that felt a little average compared to everything else, but the two wagyu sliders more than made up for it — perfectly cooked and served on beautifully baked rolls.

The Chicory and Pear salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the Foraged Mushroom Agnolotti was simply delicious. We finished with the Flat Iron steak, cooked a true medium rare with a bold Korean BBQ flavor that really stood out.

Service was first rate from start to finish — we were so well taken care of throughout the entire meal. The atmosphere was lively without being loud, just the right level of energy to enjoy conversation. A fantastic night all around.

Where to begin. 12/10 experience. Chef Alex greeted me and my wife immediately sitting up at the rail. Server was attentive and helped with tons of questions. Over the past few years I’ve not had great luck with restaurants whether it was food quality or price being outrageous and the food being average. Alex made sure we had a good night and more. I spoke with one of the sous chefs and he walked me through how to prepare duck at home. Service from the team was top to bottom incredible. Thank you to the restaurant team, we will be back.

One of the best fine-dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, Michelin star restaurants included. I took my husband here for his 49th birthday, and Juniper and Ivy exceeded every expectation.

Every dish just kept getting better, starting with an unforgettable amuse bouche and ending with an otherworldly dessert. The wagyu carpaccio was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and the wagyu sirloin and seafood pasta were flawless. Incredible service, thoughtful cocktails, and a beautiful industrial-chic space that feels warm and inviting.

Highly recommend. Everyone should eat here at least once.

We will be back!

Came for my wife and I’s 5 year anniversary, the food was amazing, the drinks remarkable, the service perfect! We started with the pork belly, delicious. Then the charcuterie, different but delicious. Our main course, she had the Miso Black Cod, delicious, I had the Steak Flat Iron, delicious! We ended with the sticky buns, to die for! Our server, Eden, was amazing! And the pastry chef, Sophia that we were sat in front of, put our night over the top!

I had a really wonderful meal here. The food is incredible. The restaurant itself was breathtaking. I love a place with an open kitchen.. dinner and a show. There was one mistake though that I cannot overlook. There are two drink items with the word “Fuji” in it one with alcohol (Fujiyama), and one that’s non-alcoholic (Fuji tonic). I ordered the mocktail Fuji tonic. As a recovering alcoholic, I still enjoy having a cute, aesthetic, non-alcoholic drink. I was brought my drink and was very surprised when I tasted gin, my first sip of alcohol in two years. I think this menu is setting the servers up to fail in a way. At another time in my life this would have absolutely caused me to relapse and I think that it is a serious blunder on the part of whoever is curating the menu. The server was very apologetic and I told him that I didn’t hold it against him personally. Like I said, I feel like it’s more of an issue with the naming and curation anyone who has experience in food service should see that possibility coming from a mile away. I’m sure more than 90% of people are ordering the alcoholic version, and that mistakes like that can happen when they’re in a rush and have multiple tables on their mind. I was able to talk to the manager about how getting the names changed may save somebody from relapsing by avoiding this issue entirely. I must be clear that besides this miscommunication, I had one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The server had incredible insight and recommendations about the menu that helped me make my choices. No love lost for this place.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Got the miso black cod, bluefin crudo, and spicy tuna hand roll. Each was world class, layers of flavor, and blew my taste buds away. Service was also great, Isaiah was super friendly and helpful.

My recent visit to Juniper & Ivy was an absolute delight! The entire experience, from the vibrant atmosphere to the incredible food, was top-notch.

The kitchen truly shines with its commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish was not only delicious but also showcased a wonderful variety of textures. It’s clear that the chefs put a lot of thought into crafting a dynamic and exciting menu.

Beyond the food, the service was fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and really contributed to the overall positive and fun experience.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their creative dishes and variations. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend Juniper & Ivy.
