We went here when passing through Ridgecrest on a road trip. We really enjoyed the Tijuana Tacos, including the baked beans and rice. Both the Carne Asada and Pollo Asado were super tender and with an excellent taste. The guacamole was super fresh and homemade. But we were most excited about the super friendly host and the lady in the kitchen. They were super friendly, attentive, and visibly cared about their guests’ experience. Thank you!

Ok #Lake Isabella and #Kernville, I’m a big fan of my local restaurants, but I am officially calling you out! I’m an hour away in Ridgecrest at Junior’s Taco Shop eating some darn amazing tacos. I’m not even slightly afraid to say they’re the best I’ve eaten in forever. They were gone so quick that the only pic is an empty plate. I’m tempted, nope, I’m doing it, I’m swearing off local #El Sombrero, #LaBikina and #El Rio tacos. Y’all need to step up your game…a lot. I’m embarrassed to mention you in the same breath.
Junior, his mom, sister and probably an abuelita or three are quietly, lovingly and with fat smiles are pounding out some seriously amazing food. Lake Isabella and Kville…do better!

In town for a conference and had to try out local spots to test out the food and this place did not disappoint. Of course it was Tuesday so they had a taco special. I got three street tacos (asada, tinga, and carnitas). They were amazing, just as I thought they would be. The place is small and looks like it was family owned and operated. They brought out chips and homemade salsa without even asking. The salsa was also really good and fresh. This place is highly recommended for that quick off the beaten path lunch. If you are in town, you have to stop by and at least try it.

I’m not sure if these guys changed owners or management, but the quality of food went so far downhill. I used to love this place, but I just went in, and the tacos were so incredibly dry, and the only way to get any flavor was to douse them in sauce. I don’t think any spices were used in cooking the food. I also got a quesabirria taco, and the cheese wasn’t just not melted, it was chunky, and was almost cold. I don’t think I’ve ever had worse tacos, and I’ll definitely not be back

Delicious authentic Mexican comfort food in a very unique setting. (The outside decor seen from the street is really cool.)
I’m so happy I drove past the chain restaurants on the main drag to find this delicious hidden gem.

Delicious and FRESH food. Not the quickest food but it was absolutely delicious. I had a Carnitas street burrito (beans, rice, cheese, onions, cilantro) and my co worker had 3 street tacos (asada). If you are in a hurry call in a to go order. We will be coming back.
