If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out. Great service, great plate lunches, delicious home-cooked meals. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

P.S: Try the chicken fried chicken and garlic herb mashed potatoes. Heavenly!!

I can tell you the food wasn’t too bad. Meat and three .The frieb pork fritter is not a fritter at all ,but a fried pork cutlet. Fried far too long . The catfish was good ,no bottom of the pond taste at all. The vegetables were good enough. they add a bit of what tasted like vinegar to the greens which wasn’t necessary. They have vinegar at the table. The mashed potatoes were real. The baked squash wasn’t bad. The starter sauce was good.. I would go back.

The food and the quality was above normal. Line servers were a little snippy but not unbearable. The food quality was well above most and atmosphere was memoresque. The price value was excellent. While I enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak, excuse me, “Country” fried steak, I am used to a different type (and name) being from Texas but different doesn’t mean “not good”. It is definitely worth going…again and again.

Visiting from California and came in tonight for their prime rib dinner. This was the best prime rib we have ever had (not exaggerating!) and at an unbelievably affordable price. The portions were generous, the sides were perfect (creamed corn, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cornbread etc) and the service was lovely. Can’t recommend this cute restaurant enough.

Man, I did NOT expect this meal to be the best of all the things!! Was saying goodbye to 2025 with one last luxury meal and gave this place a try. The chicken n dumplings were questionable in appearance at first but OMG best of their kind ever on the planet. Paired with mashed potatoes, squash casserole and turnip greens, the apocalypse could come tomorrow and I’ll leave knowing I most likely had the best meal I could have possibly had.

Had the managers special today, catfish over grits with a cream sauce, greens and cream corn. Absolutely wonderful!

This place was sooooo good! Saw a Facebook post about it & had to check it out. Being from Memphis, I have not found a good Soulfood/Country cooking spot in Desoto County until today.

I have catfish, purple hull peas & mash potatoes. The cat fish was crispy, well seasoned & over all delicious. The sides were equally as good.

I like my food SEASONED and honey, it did not disappoint!

I rarely write reviews, but this one was well deserved. Well done!!! I’ll be back soon!!

This was our first time here since they changed ownership. They give generous portions and the price was reasonable. I had chicken and dressing with gravy, a roll and cream corn with tea. They have cranberry sauce but I had to ask for it. The room temperature stuffing was good, but a bit too salty. The roll and tea were good. The cream corn was delicious. My husband had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried apples with a roll and tea. He said it was good. Everything was lukewarm except for his apples, which were hot. He said everything was pretty good. For the price of $29 for both meals, I would give a grade of B. We will most likely come back and try something else.

Stopped for lunch on a road trip. Cafeteria style service. I had the country fried steak, it was the best I have had. Staff was very friendly. Very glad we stopped.
