I love coming to this Korean restaurant! The atmosphere (private rooms to eat in) is definitely unique compared to most restaurants in the United States, but for someone like me who dislikes noisy public places, it is very comfortable. The service is excellent, everyone who works here that I’ve encountered has been such kind and humble people. The food tastes fresh and authentic with great flavor. Portions are generous. The exterior of the restaurant is also well taken care of with beautiful plants outside.

Clean and welcoming Korean restaurant! The food is delicious and the portions are generous for the price. The staff are kind and attentive. It’s also conveniently located just off I-95 and across from a Tesla Supercharger!

It was my first visit in Korean Restaurant in Pooler. We had a wonderful experience at this Korean restaurant! The kimchi soup was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The service was excellent too, warm and attentive from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Korean flavors!
One thing to be carful regarding direction of the restaurant at the last point .. Google map will take you front gate of the hotel while the gate of the restaurant is back side …

From a non-Korean perspective, this is the best Korean food I’ve had since leaving L.A. and Korea. From a Korean-American perspective, it’s the best and most authentic Korean food she’s had in a very long time. This place is a hidden gem.

Whoever cooks the food deserves a gold medal. They don’t skip quality despite having a variety. The eating arrangement is very private. Perfect for a family that just wants to eat alone and not be bothered with other guests. This place is a great addition to Savannah/Pooler. If you love Korean food, this is/should be a must visit. My wife and I have been here twice in one week, and we’ll probably be back again soon.

I always like to try new restaurants. However, I found I can’t give JungWon better rating. First, the price for BBQ is wayyyy overpriced and expensive. They force you order two sets for each meat order. If you want grill beef for example, you have to order $49 times 2 so equals to $100, but the portion size is no difference than other KBBQ place around. So you paid double than others.
Second, the service style is strange. Every group is in its own cubicle. It was hard to ask service, only way is press the bottom and wait for someone and most of the employees can’t seem to speak English well.
Overall, with the rising competition of Korean restaurants in sav, pooler area. They don’t have enough edge to compete yet. Maybe they will in the future with improvements.

Overpriced menu with no justification.
When I looked at the menu, everything was overpriced across the board. I understand that Korean ingredients might be harder to source in this area, but still, the prices were unreasonable.

Poor value and unnecessary extra charges.
Compared to other Korean restaurants in the area, this place fell short in both quality and value. Even rice wasn’t included and had to be ordered separately for an extra charge.

Feels like a trap for local Korean workers.
It was quite obvious they were trying to overcharge Korean workers from the nearby Hyundai Plant. While eating, I could clearly understand why this place has such a poor reputation. Definitely a restaurant I won’t be returning to.

Food was great and service was amazing. Glad this restaurant came to Pooler. Most rooms are private rooms with outdoor eating option.

I don’t often leave reviews, but this Korean restaurant absolutely deserves the praise! The food was immaculate—every dish bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. I have high hopes for this spot and can’t wait to see them thrive.

This was a very unassuming Korean restaurant with amazing flavor. My family and I were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious our meals were. There was a language barrier with the servers due to them knowing very little english, but that didn’t stop the servers from making recommendations and guiding us on how to grill.

We were all so excited to eat what was served, that we didn’t get any photos of how great the food was presented. I would go as far to say that, they have the best flavor and presentation for Korean food in Pooler so far!

I would recommend going here if you are looking for authentic comforting Korean dishes, not just the bbq!

I will say it was minimal decorations and no music at the time we went, but we didn’t let that stop us from enjoying the food. I would rather the focus of a new restaurant to be on the flavor and quality of food than the overdone interior decor. So just be prepared to be in a secluded room or outside patio to enjoy your meal.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable Korean dining experience that hits every note, flavor, ambiance, hospitality, and just makes you feel as if you’re actually IN Seoul…Jungwon is the spot. From the moment you step through the door, you’re transported. Minimalist decor, and that comforting aroma of garlic, gochujang, and sizzling meat that tells you you’re in for something special. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to recommend dishes, explain ingredients, and even show us how to wrap ssam like a pro. Our server made us feel like guests in their home rather than customers in a restaurant. I can’t wait to go back!!!
