This place has ALL the Lao staples and honestly… it tasted like home. The bamboo soup was so good and the bamboo was actually crispy! The papaya salad was spicy and had eggplant and string beans just the way we like it. The Lao sausage and nam were super flavorful, and the chilis were no joke. We’ve eaten at a lot of places and not even during Lao New Year have we found somewhere that makes it truly Lao hot — but they did!

The food was so good we ordered extra to take back to the hotel. I loved their Pinot Noir selection, and of course the guys had to get Beer Lao. My dad was so happy that a Lao chef was making the food, and a male at that! He was able to order food in Lao — that made the whole experience even better. Even better, the staff were so friendly!

If you haven’t been, go. Everything was delicious and we can’t wait to come back on our next trip.

Had an amazing experience at Jumpa Lao-Thai Bistro.

The Nam Tok Kor Moo Yang was absolutely delicious — perfectly grilled pork neck, juicy and tender, mixed with fresh herbs, toasted rice powder, lime, and just the right level of spice. The flavors were bold, tangy, and so well balanced.

The Tom Zaab was another standout. The broth was rich and spicy-sour, packed with herbs and deep flavor. The beef and intestine was soft and tender, and the soup had that comforting heat that keeps you wanting more.

Everything tasted authentic and fresh. If you love strong flavors, this place is a must-try!

The staff was welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better.

Definitely coming back again.

I think I found one of the hidden gems in Las vegas. Everything I ordered here came out quick and good. Raw shrimp with spicy sauce. Crying tiger, thai ice tea, papaya salad is a must. The dessert is so cute and delicious

I came here since Scottsdale. AZ has absolutely 0 choices when it comes to Lao cuisine. And I personally haven’t had it since I was a kid in WA state and even then it was home cook meal. So when I saw this restaurant, I figure this might be one of the last opportunities to try Lao food.

Upon entering you will notice that it is very clean and nicely decorated. I just went with the staff recommendations and the food was out of this world. The real winner was the Lao Noodle soup. It was hearty and fllavorful. Also the garlic fried ribs were excellent!!! I highly recommend this establishment if you ever want to try Lao cuisine.

What a delightful, surprise find, the food is as authentic as it gets, everything is prepared with love with the freshest ingredients! We’ve been back four times since the discovery less than 2 months ago, having spent a lot of time in Thailand and a little in Laos, brings back the best culinary memories. I order my Phad see ewe spice level 5 and it comes out exactly as hoped! Shrimps and vegetables are perfectly cooked proper and fresh every time, this is a true gem. Recommend to everyone!!

I’m so glad to have found this hidden gem! Jumpa Lao offers superb authentic Thai and Lao cuisine, with the same flavors and ingredients I’ve enjoyed in Thailand and Laos. The portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of ingredients.

Our seafood Po-Tak hotpot was a masterpiece, filled with large mussels, prawns, cuttlefish, and a flavorful broth packed with spices and herbs. The big tray papaya salad, served with rice noodles and an array of sides like boiled eggs, Lao sausage, and fermented cabbage, was simply outstanding. The crispy pork belly and its dipping sauce were equally delicious.

The overall dining experience was wonderful, with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. It’s a great option for families, and while they don’t serve alcohol, you’re welcome to bring your own drinks. The staff even suggested a nearby store where we could easily purchase beer or other beverages.

If you’re looking for authentic Thai and Lao cuisine in a decent atmosphere in Las Vegas, Jumpa Lao is a must-visit. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delicious and memorable dining experience.

Would give 4.5 if possible– We went for a later lunch. Ordered the papaya platter (Lao style) w/ sticky rice, Khao piek, Khaopoon, pho Lao, and crab fried rice. My family and I enjoyed our meals. We were expecting blood cubes in the khaopiek and khaopoon, but it wasn’t served with any. Not a deal breaker though, because our food was still delicious. Service was timely, and great.

The food was not worth it. Every entrees dish doesn’t come with rice. You’ll need to order rice/sticy rice on the side. We got larb for $19 and it’s not worth the price at all so small. We got the papaya plater thai and omg it’s bad so salty and taste nothing but just crab paste. Pretty pricey for what you get. I’ll recommend bangkok thai instead.
