A simple, cozy & nicely decorated bakery with delicious items and welcoming helpful staff. Knowing it’s our 1st visit, the staff offered some nicely baked bread for us to sample and informed us that they are good with the chai while we are waiting for the food. She’s absolutely correct on that.
Highly recommending the bolani, so are the chai, the lamb & chicken on rice, and the sweets.

I recently visited this restaurant and I just want to say the food is absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was very fresh and full of flavor. You can really tell they care about the quality of the food they serve.

The staff is also very kind and welcoming. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.

Since Ramadan started, they are doing an iftar buffet every evening for $20. You can take whatever you want from the table and try many different dishes. It’s a great way to experience a lot of food at once.

Just keep in mind that the number of tables is limited. If you want to come and try the iftar buffet, it’s better to call and reserve a table in advance. Otherwise you might have to take the food outside.

1000% recommend this place. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is very warm and pleasant. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.

I had a very, very, very good dinner the first night of Ramadan. I am not Muslim, but I really do love the food here. I feel very welcome. I feel very at peace and I enjoy speaking with the people there and learning about their faith, their love and most of all their food.
Very, very clean I love the changes they’ve made. I’ve been going there over a year. I’ve never given anyone a review and this is kind of exciting because I really enjoyed my dinner tonight.
Next time, I’ll add photos

Amazing potato leek mix bolani and karak chai. I tried to buy a piece of baklava but the man just gave it to me. Baklava was heavy on the honey and light on the spice which is how I like it. Bolani was perfectly thin and delicious. This place has been on my list for a while and I am glad that I finally made it here.

Had an incredible iftar buffet experience at an affordable price. What was most amazing is the warmth and hospitality of the employees and the store manager. It was appreciable they were asking regularly if everything was alright which denote their high level of integrity. Lastly, it was our first time experiencing afghan food and was beyond delighted to experience the authenticity and taste of the food. We will definitely come back!

*Exceptional Hospitality and Treats at Jummah Bakery!*

I’ve never experienced such a warm and welcoming atmosphere in any bakery before! Jummah Bakery truly feels like home, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the owner and their family-run bakery.

The prices are incredibly affordable, especially considering the current economic climate. We enjoyed a delicious iftar feast, complete with warm, fresh, and plentiful food. Despite not having a reservation, the staff accommodated us with a smile.

The complimentary Afghan soup and green tea were lovely touches that made our visit even more special. The owner’s kindness and hospitality are genuine and heartfelt.

I highly recommend Jummah Bakery for its exceptional service, mouthwatering Afghan treats, and incredible value. We’ll definitely be back to indulge in their scrumptious cookies, bolani, and wraps. May their business continue to thrive and grow, Insha’Allah!

Stumbled upon here with my family while we were out and gave it a try. Staff members were really friendly and talked us through the menu and the various options of Afghan biscuits (kolcha). They also told us about how a percentage of their sales go to helping those in need.

We opted to order a steak and cheese sub, gyro wrap and with their recommendation potato bolani and a few of their biscuits.

Throughly enjoyed the food, it all came out piping hot and tasted really fresh.

We ordered their chicken over rice, bolani, chicken cheesesteak, and chai. All the food was freshly made, and the bolani was the best I’ve had in the DMV. The meat in the chicken over rice was crispy and dry, so when we mentioned it to the owner, he insisted on replacing it and making us a fresh one. It was definitely much better. In fact, he even went above and beyond by bringing us one of their rose milk cakes, which I highly recommend and would order the next time.

The service at this restaurant is phenomenal. The owner truly values customer service and ensures that customers are satisfied with their food. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. They also have an attached grocery store, which is quite convenient.
