Had lunch and dinner here. Lunch was busier so service was slower, but very Bajan! Enjoyed a flying fish salad amd tacos with a beer.
Dinner was a slightly different menu. Restaurant was quiet, so good service. Goat curry was super, shrimp curry was good, octopus was tasty and grilled mahi mahi was very also nice.

At Juma’s on Alleynes Bay, I lounged on beach chairs, savoring crispy chicken fingers, fluffy pancakes, and vibrant fresh fruit. The golden-crusted fingers paired perfectly with a tangy Bajan dipping sauce, while pancakes were a sweet, fluffy delight. Tropical fruit—mango, pineapple, papaya—burst with flavor. Waves lapped nearby, enhancing the relaxed vibe. Solid 5 for tasty, casual beachside eats.

The Staff at Jumas are really attentive and professional, but they are worked very hard. The Food is Amazing and local. The entertainment on the 1st of the month with the fire eater & Limbo dancer is Exceptional. My only criticism is to the ” Owners”, who need to clear out their Grease Trap more regularly to protect the lovely beach from the ” Fat that washes up when it rains. ” Protect the lovely environment “.

Juma’s in Porters, Barbados offers a truly picturesque setting with mesmerizing sunset views right on the beach—an ideal spot for a relaxing evening. The service was friendly and welcoming, adding to the laid-back island vibe.

However, the food was unfortunately just average and didn’t match the high expectations set by the location. We also found the menu pricing to be inconsistent and somewhat puzzling. While it’s a great place to enjoy a drink and take in the view, we wouldn’t recommend it for the food.

We ate lunch here and it is was fantastic, the staff were so lovely too, so we decided to stay on the beach and dine in the evening.
What a great location, stunning beach and views, and great chilled ambience in the restaurant.
The food was delicious and marked at a good price for the delicious quality of the food.
Happy hour between 5-6pm was a welcome bonus.
The service was wonderful and we were happy to add a tip, as service charge is not automatically added.
We will be back.

Eat inside or on the beach. The food is fantastic. It is located at our favorite beach. Alleynes bay on the west coast, calm warm beautiful water. We rented our chairs from Freddy three days and he took excellent care of us make sure and ask for him, back to the food. Excellent selection we had short ribs with a mango and ginger infused sauce and a side salad. We had the most excellent lobster tacos with a little bit of a kick and on Sundays they have a fish fry barbecue on the beach where we had local Lobster grilled potatoes and vegetables. I would eat there again and again and again also, the guys working the beach bar and in the restaurant were super friendly and helpful and brought our drinks & food right to Us on the beach. Thanks to all of you for making our vacation wonderful. Ps if you haven’t tried the fried flying fish, it’s so good, mild not fishy and served almost everywhere. A little beach restaurant on Paynes Beach had the best flying fish sandwiches on salt bread and we had flying fish tacos. If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should yummy. We went back for a month in Feb-March 2025 and ate at Jumas at least 20 times. Great Roti’s (like a burrito) mango ribs, chicken tacos, plantain pizza, chicken stuffed plantain, fish cakes, oxtail egg rolls, all delicious, $$-$$$. Wonderful staff, who greeted us by name and took excellent care of us and were so fun to be around! Cocktails & mock-tails on the beach. Open breakfast lunch and dinner. Beautiful atmosphere. Love it! Rent chairs from Freddy! Best beach in barbados! Enjoy!

We dined outside, the staff were extremely patient and good natured with my group; many rum punches had already been consumed and every group has one person that should have already switched to water.

The roti is very tasty, more potato than I’m used to but perfectly seasoned.

My wife really enjoyed her flying fish salad and everyone else enjoyed their dishes.

Note: SUNBEDS ARE NOT FREE!

Juma’s have two free sunbeds for patrons, all other sunbeds belong to “Freddie”.

When we arrived, one of the Juma waiters helped laying out the sunbeds, so you can see my confusion when it came to ownership of them.

After reading previous reviews where it mentioned “free use of sunbeds when food and drink is bought”, at the end of the day my wife went to clarify the point with Freddie.

She relayed my review finding to him and rather than reply with “No madam, I am not affiliated with Juma’s” he went off on a tirade and almost accused my wife of trying to skip payment.

When I saw my wife she was visibly shaken and upset; I went to have a word with Freddie.

He gave me some BS about a previous customer that left without paying…. WHAT HAS THAT GOT TO DO WITH MY WIFES QUESTION⁉️

Freddie needs to seriously rethink his customer relations policy.

Remember the price quoted for the sunbed will double when you settle the bill.

After laying out the sunbed Freddie will install a parasol as well; this is not free and costs as much as the sunbed; it is not mentioned at the beginning.

Juma’s management would be wise to inform patrons that Freddie is a free agent and Freddie would be wise to get a chalkboard with his prices listed.

Went for lunch at 12pm, waited until 2pm for a pizza and chips. When they eventually brought the pizza out after multiple times of being prompted, they brought out the wrong one. Service is extremely slow and it’s a shame because the food is great. Freddie on the beach is such a lovely guy and he made us feel a lot better about it, so i’d recommend to get ur sun lounger and food through Freddie, he is very on it and will get you sorted asap 🙂

Fantastic location Photos looking left and right. Great friendly service & good food reasonable prices too. If you use the beach in the day make sure you ask which beds are Juma’s as these are free if you’re using their Restaurant & Bar. Good place for a hole day out next door to Loan Star.

Great spot for a lowkey dinner. Really nice view overlooking the water, which was especially nice at sunset. The food is good (especially the burger) and the service was friendly and welcoming. We went on a night with live music which was an added bonus.
