Unfortunate.
I write this as someone who was in the service industry for 3 years and has a
passion for customer experience.
We waited almost an hour for our order of barbacoa. A table next to us sat down
20 minutes after us and got their food 10 minutes before us. The server did not
check in on us at all from bringing the appetizer out until 30 minutes later
just before the entrees came out.
When we checked in with the server to see if our order was ok, she said the
barbacoa was holding it up but it would be just 5 more minutes. This was later
confirmed false by the owner and it was a mix up with our order that held the
order back.
When the barbacoa did finally come out, it did not come with handmade
tortillas, just bagged factory made tortillas. The menu lists “12 handmade
tortillas” right under the barbacoa listing. If you’ve had handmade vs factory,
you know why this is important.
When we asked to send them back in favor of handmade tortillas, they acted like
that was unusual and claimed that the server should’ve asked whether we wanted
handmade or factory. The server never asked anything about this.
The owner then came out to speak to us and check in. He clarified that he
dropped the price from $45 to $30 because they were no longer offering handmade
tortillas by default. This is not explained anywhere on the menu, was terribly
communicated, and felt like a poorly thought out escape to justify the
shortcoming.
When giving additional feedback to the owner he became irritated and started
speaking disrespectfully to my mom, going so far as to question her ability to
listen. This is most definitely not the way to treat customers at a business
you care about. He said he would make it up by getting the hand made tortillas
out and sending extra barbacoa. The hand made tortillas were the minimum
expectation…and the extra barbacoa never made it to the table.
Naturally, they tried to make amends by offering us free dessert. A point for
that but it does not make up for the attitude and mindset of the owner. Much
less his behavior towards my mother.
Ultimately, it’s not the server’s fault or any of the staff. It comes back to
how the owner is choosing to run his business and react to customer feedback.
And that is

If you have not been here yet Julio’s on Main is an absolute must. I ordered the birria tacos with sides of street corn and Mexican rice. The tacos were full of tender shredded beef and cheese and the broth had great depth of flavor without being overly spicy or salty. The rice was tender and the corn had a great lime flavor. I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out. They have a new expanded dining room and as I was checking out I spoke to the owner and he said they will be starting brunch soon as well.

Very nice place! Authentic Mexican food. Friendly staff. Would be nice if they offered mild salsa with the complimentary tortilla chips as the two options on the plate were a bit too spicy for us. The place is clean & spacious. I had Surf and Turf fajitas and the steak was very tender, the shrimp had a nice flavor to it as well. Generous portions at a reasonable price.

Incredible service, modern taqueria ambiance + INSANE food! Please try the guacamole empanada, it is fantastic. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty. Julio’s will be catering my wedding in October 2026 and I cannot wait for our guests to be wowed!

My favorite place to eat. They give you a full platter so you definitely get your moneys worth and the food is fantastic. I’m a vegetarian but they have beyond meat so I get beyond meat tacos and their delicious. The sides I get are delicious as well (street corn and rice) they go great with the tacos. Our waitresses are always very nice as are the owners. It’s very nice inside. Absolutely recommend.

We visited this restaurant and it truly is an incredible hidden gem. Every dish was delicious, and the desserts were absolutely outstanding.

We get Julios catered for staff work lunch occasionally. Everything is always packaged nicely. The meats are hit or miss, depending on what you choose. This last time they were flavorful, not fatty and there was plenty for a staff of 10. Theres condiments on the side, chips and tortillas. It is pricey compared to some other area restaurants. We’ve had their salads and individual meals as well. If you’re in the area, its worth a stop. Ive only picked up catering and takeout.

My husband and I drive over an hour JUST to eat here. This time we had the birria grilled cheese and it was to die for. The birria ramen is amazing as well as the quesadilla! Don’t get me started on the street corn keep doing your thing we are super proud of you!
