Familiar Mexican fare plus traditional plates & margaritas served in casual digs with homey accents.

My friend and I came here for lunch and drinks. This place never disappoints when I come into town. I had drinks at the Joe Battle location yesterday, then came to this location today.lol. The food is great but my absolute favorite thing is the cucumber margarita! Please don’t ever take this off of the menu! I look forward to eating and drinking at Julio’s everytime I’m in El Paso. The service is great and the wait staff is very attentive. Keep up the good work!

This is a good spot for foodies, and I have to immediately shout out their Arrachera Tacos—they are genuinely delicious! The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the tortillas were fresh. Easily the highlight of the meal and a strong reason to return.
Warning about the atmosphere, particularly the live music. While I appreciate the attempt to create a lively vibe, the band was way too loud. It was honestly difficult to have a conversation without shouting. More importantly, the music itself wasn’t very engaging. It felt like a distraction rather than an enhancement. Parking can also be difficult.

First time here for me & mi esposa. My wife ordered the Pescado al Mojo de ajo and a tamarindo margarita. I ordered the Chicken Mole Poblano which was amazing. Definitely the best mole I’ve eaten out at a restaurant and possibly as good as my wife’s (almost). The corn tortillas were prepared exactly how I like them, on the comal.
We ordered the guacamole to start with and I did think it was a little light on flavor, so I added some salt. Otherwise the food was fantastic as was the service. Bien hecho, Sofia.

Exceptional service and food. The margarita was DELICIOUS Be prepared – there’s a cash discount, so go to the ATM before Julio’s
One thing, the cleaning solvent is very pungent. While it’s nice to know the place is clean, the smell can be overwhelming.

I haven’t been to this Julio’s in well over 10 years. I wasn’t a fan! My aunt picked this place for lunch, and I’m glad she did. The Mexican plate was good along with the queso fundido. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. We will return.

I don’t know if Mr. Orrantia reads these reviews? But, I think he should since he runs this location. I came here on Saturday evening because of the happy hour from 3 to 11 pm. As you walk in to the left there is a lighted board above the register that has the specials. It clearly states, Happy Hour-Saturdays from 3 pm until closing. So what did I do? I had 2 margaritas. When it’s time for me to pay, I got charged regular price. I told the waiter and he said, there is no Happy Hour on Saturdays. I let him know the sign in front says, there is Happy Hour on Saturdays. He had to call the manager and she no, Happy Hour! I told her yes, go look at the sign! She comes back to the table and apologized but could only deduct $2.50 from the final bill. I let her know this is false advertising/deceptive business practices! You cannot advertise happy hour on Saturdays and when it’s time to pay, you decide it’s not happy hour! Happy Hour for a margarita is 6.00 and regular price is 8.50.
The waiter Cesar Troy, like always, was rude! He had about 3 other tables around us and never asked us for refills or asked us if we wanted more tostadas. When I asked him for he a refill he seem annoyed and bothered. He can see we needed refills but continued to talk to talk about his life at the table next to us!
It’s too bad Mario was not working, he is a great server and so is Giovanni. If you ever go to Julio’s ask for Giovanni or Mario. You can also sit in the bar area, Diana is great at bartending!

Lunch menu has a very good variety of food options for lent. Capirotada was delicious, sweet taste was perfect. I would have given a higher rating for the atmosphere, but the restaurant was super hot, no fans and no AC on. There was also a table of approx 12 people and they were loud and obnoxious. I think large parties should be in a different room.

The place itself was nice. But that’s it. We’ve been here before and the food has been great the service is questionable. But yesterday was horrible. On a Wednesday, I thought the service would have been good. The rice and beans were dry. They might have been old. Leo our waiter was nice but he probably didn’t have any experience. I had to get up and request refills and other stuff we ordered. I didn’t receive everything that was on the menu. Hunting down the waiter, old food does not make a going out experience fun. Taco bell would have been better for $40 but at $143 bill feels like we’ve been mugged. Never again will we make my way over here just to get robbed. 1 star only because we can’t give a minus 3 stars. Do yourself a favor. Go to Chico’s or Taco Bell hell even MacDonalds at least you know what you are getting!!!

Our waitress, Sophia, was very pleasant and provided excellent service. It’s been a long time since I’ve encountered such attentive and kind service. I highly recommend this restaurant, not only for the delicious food but also for Sophia’s exceptional service. I would definitely return if only she served me.

This buffet is a little more relaxing than others I’ve tried. I like that some of the dishes are brought to your table and you don’t have to be getting up. The server was very attentive. We have received excellent service. The breakfast buffet includes the drink. It was a nice treat. Enmoladas were delicious. The beef fajitas were good, although I didn’t care for refried beans and couldn’t switch with charros without paying an upcharge. The lunch menu is pretty reasonable. I had the shrimp quesadillas, and they were good!! The Mexican Plate was good as well. Today’s visit was for a family gathering with a buffet-type meal. Everything was delicious. The arrachera fajitas are pricey but good.
