My husband took me here for my birthday today. (I also went for my birthday last year and have wanted to go back ever since.) The service is fantastic. Our server Millie was very seasoned and anticipated everything we could possibly need and more. She took great care of us. The appetizers here are incredible. Every dish we have gotten has been exceptional. Pictured is the fresh fried okra, conch fritters, shrimp n’ grits, beet salad, lemon brown butter Cod and Cranberry bread pudding.

This is a great place to visit if you want seafood, you just have to pick the right item off the menu. The drinks were amazing and the service was exceptional. The lion fish was very tasty and fresh. The sauce that came with my tuna was the perfect pairing. However, my tuna was slightly overcooked, the oysters had shells in them, and the shrimp ceviche was too vinegary.

We had an absolutely wonderful time last night at Julington Creek Fish Camp! We had just arrived in Florida from Chicago and drove here on the way from the airport to St. Augustine (where we’re staying) because we’d heard good things about the place. We were also aware that the wait could be quite long. (Especially as we were a party of 5). But we weren’t in a hurry so we were willing to wait.

Wow! We have been here a couple of times. This time was for my wife’s birthday. Everything we had was excellent! The staff is wonderful and very attentive. My wife had the shrimp and grits, I had the seared cod with brown butter pecan sauce. We also had their fried okra, conch fritters and beet salad. We finished with their bread pudding. We will be returning again!

If you are going to stop in Jacksonville, I would highly recommend Julington Creek Fish Camp. I had high expectations due to the great experience I had at North Beach Fish Camp last year. We ordered the Broiled Bay Scallops and the Grilled Octopus w/ White Bean Salad for appetizers. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and seasoned to a great taste. My partner ordered their most famous and #1 pick the Shrimp and Grits with White Wine Butter Sauce, I ordered the Salt and Pepper Tuna seared rare with a Sesame Salad. First off, these are not your run-of-the-mill breakfast grits, which is what I expect most folks would imagine. The grits have an incredible flavor topped with the deliciously cooked and seasoned shrimp. Only a true taste test would do justice. My Salt and Pepper Tuna was very fresh with natural flavor, other than being seared, anyone who loves sashimi would not go wrong with this entrée. I would highly recommend all of these dishes. If you have never tried their Shrimp and Grits, I would recommend everyone try the plate. The plate probably isn’t big enough to share, but it is a decent portion.

There are some places where reviews are completely unnecessary based on the loyal customers they possess. This is one of those places. There will always be a waiting line of a min 45 mins. The lunch crowd on the weekend is a diverse group which is nice. The seating inside is cramped and very loud. Outside is a bit better with a view and a breeze. The homemade sangria wasn’t my favorite however, the service was top notch. No matter how busy they seem to be the wait staff is on top of their game. We arrived around 2pm and found a parking space easily. By the time we left around 4pm there was a traffic backup in the parking lot and hard to get out. I recommend if it is your first visit, go early on a Saturday when they open.

I chose this place to have my birthday celebration. I haven’t ever been here before so, aside from looking at the menu online, I was flying blind.

If for nothing else, please try their bread pudding. My goodness, hands down the most delicious dessert I’ve had in any restaurant is a long time! My partner, who generally won’t eat dessert and was already skeptic when it arrived loved it. We talked about it most of the drive home but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything. I generally order the mussels to start and this time I tried one of their specials. They are also consistently great, I’ve visited this one and the STA location and neither disappoints.

We had a great lunch. The appetizer came out quick. The Clam chowder was amazing. It did take a bit to get the entree. It was packed so that is understandable.

Our server was amazing. Can’t remember her name but she was an older woman with dark, short hair. My veggies were a little overseasoned and my potatoes were not seasoned at all. However, they were cooked perfectly. There were many pieces of shells in my crab cakes but they were delicious.
