My husband and I finally visited Julia for an early Valentine’s Day celebration. We live nearby and this spot has been on our list for a while and it absolutely did not disappoint. Every dish and drink was excellent but the octopus was the standout for me. It is not easy to get octopus right and they nailed it. Highly recommend!

This restaurant in an old style mansion serves delicious food. We had some excellent starters (grilled octopus, cheese bread) and entrees (streak and whole red snapper). Service was super friendly. Great restaurant if you have something to celebrate!

If you have not been to Julia’s 1902 – put this restaurant on your list. If you had read my previous reviews (2), you have seen me rave about this place. This is our 3rd visit (this time with one of our kids) and another absolute perfection (to the point that my daughter indicated that it is in top 5 places she has ever eaten in, and she has been to some great places).
For appetizers, we shared Short Rib Croquettes (our absolute favorite dish of the night), Delicate Fried Eggplant, Roasted Rainbow Carrots and Crispy Broccoli (in peanut sauce). Main Courses, my wife and I split Alaskan Halibut and our daughter had Butternut Squash Raviolli.
We finish the night off with Lemon Tart and Chocolate Mascarpone Mouse.
Absolutely fabulous evening, great atmostpher, great food. Keep it up!

Came here with the friends of ours because we loved our experience last time and we absolutely loved it. This is truly becoming one of the best places in Cleveland.
Located in a former estate home (and on the list of Historical Places), the setting and ambiance is absolutely perfect. And the food and service to match.
We had 4 different appetizers (Sauteed Marshrooms, Smoked Tuna Crudo), Roasted Artichokes and Goat cheese – all of them were absolutely perfect.
For Main Courses, I had the Burger, my wife the Willoughby Salad, our friends had Bouillabaise and Yakisoba with noodles… everyone absolutely loved their dishes
For dessert, we closed it out with the Apple and Rhubarb Cobbler with ice cream.
But (and it is a big but), the menu changes seasonally, by the time you are reading this, it might be time for something new to try.

I have been wanting to go here since they opened and this did not disappoint. Finally had the perfect opportunity for our anniversary (I would say this is a special occasion type of restaurant)
Wonderful evening, wonderful staff, great location and the restaurant. Due to us having a late evening reservation, we had 2 appetizers (Ahi Tuna Tostada and Crispy Artichoke), one salad (Marcias Salad) and one dessert (Coffee Creme Brule). Everything we had tried was perfect. Coffee Creme Brule had to be in top 2-3 creme brule’s I have had.
I think this restaurant is up to quality and experience in some of the other top restaurants in Cleveland area (Edwin’s, Cru, Chez Francois, Luca’s Viadiact among others). Can’t wait to come back here for a full dinner experience.

Incredible food and service! Went for Valentine’s Day and left making reservations for next month. Our server, Celestino, was impeccable and gave us the best recommendations of wine for our entrees. We definitely found a new favorite spot!

This was our first time at Julia’s 1902. It was exquisite from start to finish. We sat down right away, reservations were easy, the server was prompt and polite. We loved how other servers pitched in to help other tables and guests. The food was amazing!! Ann, our server was informative , engaging and enthusiastic, she was knowledgeable about the history of the building and invited us back for special brunch dates! I had swordfish, a special on the menu and my date had halibut, both dishes were cooked to perfection and full of flavor! We are self proclaimed foodies and absolutely loved the brussel sprouts, a very unique flavor! We had cocktails that were handcrafted and delicious! We can’t wait to come back!

Everyone is so very welcoming, including the owners Mike and Marcia Neundorfer.
Anna chose the perfect table for us in the former dining room of the home, as there are multiple rooms to be seated in to dine. Our server Claire was so very professional and accommodating. Our appetizers and entree’s prepared by Chef Jose’s team, was outstanding.
The presentation of everything was beautiful, including my smoked old fashioned.
Julia’s 1902 is a must try.

Ann A was the cherry on top of an amazing dinner. My husband and I go out to dinner once a month with our best friends at new places. This is EASILY one of our new favorites. The Brussels sprouts were SO juicy and flavorful, but yet the perfect amount of crisp. The Waygu skewers were perfection and the Old age cheddar bread was so yummy. I ordered the Waygu Burger and ate half of it in about 2 seconds. The ribs were flavorful and juicy, and fell off the bone just as they should. We were so happy and would be happy to return many times! Ann was so kind, prompt and joked with us foodies the way we love to have service. Thank you for a pleasant dinner!

One of our new favorite restaurants in the area…all around great experience. The restaurant is set in an old mansion that has been recently renovated. Small dining rooms are spread throughout the first floor. The menu was great with a wide selection. We loved everything we ate. There was also great coctails and fairly large wine by the glass list. Service was great and attentive throughout the meal. There was many more things we wanted to try so I am sure we will be back. Highly recommend!

Awesome food. Chef Jose is making magic in this place and you need to stop by for some excellent dishes. The bartenders Leo and Adam made some killer drinks and had great recommendations. I had an heirloom tomato and ricotta salata salad, oysters, a korean chicken sandwich, and duck l’orange. Leo makes hot sauce and it was great on the korean chicken. Everything was delicious and I will be back.
