My husband and I took advantage of the Tuesdays lunch special-$5 burgers and fries deal- to try out this new restaurant. As I waited, I thought, “please let it be good, please let it be good..” It did not disappoint! From the complimentary seasoned popcorn, to the entree and the lemon mascarpone cake to finish. The burger meat was tasty, the aioli a perfect complement and the Bibb lettuce was spot on; so many chefs miss the mark with burger greens! I was also happy that the truffle fries didn’t taste like truffle oil as that flavor is not my favorite. Instead, I think the accompanying sauce may have been a truffle aioli. Our waitress, Angie, was friendly, excited about the menu ( which made us excited) and very attentive. Julep’s is a very welcomed addition to blossoming Loudoun Station. We are so excited to have an interesting, tasty restaurant with a cool vibe within walking distance! We will definitely be back! Decisions, decisions… the pork chops or fried chicken next time!

Ok, so we went back for dinner…Everything was absolutely fantastic! We had the fried chicken with truffle mac and coleslaw. Best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time, and there was a half bucket of french fries under the chicken… super tasty surprise! We also had the short ribs over mashed potatoes, Nashville hot chicken and crispy Brussels sprouts. To finish, the chocolate peanut butter pie. Loving this restaurant! So happy to have Julep’s Kentucky Tavern in Ashburn!

We were excited to check out Juleps Kentucky Tavern, and we weren’t disappointed! They start you off with a plate of mini cornbread muffins and butter. I had my first Mint Julep, which was a bit sweet, but still good. I enjoyed the Ale Onion Soup as an appetizer, but the star was the Nashville Chicken Sandwich! It was perfectly seasoned and cooked and featured jumbo pickle chips, coleslaw, and a brioche bun. The sauce was the right amount of heat and filled with flavor. Delicious! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Stopped by Juleps last weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday and had a lovely experience! We always like to sit at the bar because we love getting to know our local bartenders and interacting with restaurant staff. Started out with a $3 mimosa (the Prosecco was on draft.. how cool… and you cant beat that price, not OJ heavy either!) and my husband got the whiskey flight which was a fun change up and delish. For food I ordered the IPA based french onion soup and it was the best I have found in the area so far this winter season. Highly recommend this to my FOSoup lovers. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was also HUGE and the flavor was just like a nashville hot chicken sandwich. Very yummy. Great atmosphere and decor too. Staff working the bar were so kind and took the time to chat with us/get to know us and provided impeccable service! Shout out to Alexis, Scott and Jerrell. Yall rock! Will definitely be back 🙂

⭐️ THE BEST NASHVILLE CHICKEN SANDWICH OUTSIDE OF NASHVILLE!!!

I’ll be returning soon to try an entrée, but I was drawn to the chicken sandwich lol. I’ve been to Nashville several times (my favorite is Hattie B’s) and while there are a lot of hot chicken sandwich spots in NOVA this is the only one that should be allowed to use the word “Nashville”. The guy sitting at the table next to us was from Kentucky and co-signed its authenticity!

Chicken – crispy, spicy, slightly sweet skin… juicy and perfectly cooked meat
Bread – held up well despite the moistness of the chicken and sauce… a nice compliment
Fries – the sandwich was so good that I don’t really remember them but they were great!
Sauce – I think it was a truffle sauce that came with the fries… one of my favorite sauces in a while!
Environment – feels a high end classy tavern… comfortable, nice lighting & colors, good vibe! (only complaint was the tables were wobbly)
Pricing – high but fair for what you get
‍ Staff – very nice, welcoming & accommodating

I’m thrilled that I found this place and am looking forward to returning. I do hope they bring the catfish back to their menu, though!

9/10

If you’re anywhere near Juleps Kentucky Kitchen, do yourself a favor and go hungry.

This was, without exaggeration, the closest thing to culinary bliss I’ve had in a long time. The tallow fries alone are worth the trip—crispy, rich, perfectly seasoned, and the kind of indulgence that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate what’s happening. The homemade chips? Addictive. Every sandwich is layered with intention and flavor, the salads are fresh but never boring, and the soups taste like they’ve been simmering with care all day. It’s the kind of food that brings a smile to your face before you even take the first bite—and somehow an even bigger one after you’re done.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere and hospitality elevate the whole experience. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely Southern in spirit, it feels less like dining out and more like being hosted. If you’re in the mood for food that truly reflects Southern comfort, brace yourself—this isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience.

Came here for happy hour, and it may be the best priced happy hour in the area. There is a happy hour menu in one of the pictures so be sure to check it out and note the following. All of the wines on the menu during happy hour are the same price. The average price range is from $11-$17 on the regular menu but not a happy hour. Also, all of the beers are at happy hour prices during happy hour. And all starters are happy hour Price no matter what their price was before. Happy hour. We tried the venison meatballs, the Nashville, hot wings, and the beef tartare. All the food was delicious and plentiful. It also arrived fast. Our bartender Jeff was a true professional and a gentleman. Thanks to him, we will be back for sure.

My partner and I went to Julips Kentucky Tavern for a brunch date and honestly had such a great time! The atmosphere is super cozy and a little classy. perfect for a casual weekend date spot. We grabbed a couple $3 mimosas (can’t beat that) and tried a mix of dishes from their huge brunch menu.
Our favorites were the ricotta French toast, chef’s biscuit board, and the Nashville chicken sandwich, everything came out fresh and full of flavor. The blueberry pancakes and steak and eggs were also awesome. They’ve got a big bar with 20+ beers on tap, which adds to the whole southern tavern vibe.

It’s also super convenient being right by the Silver Line metro. Definitely recommend Julips if you’re looking for a new brunch spot or an easy date idea in Ashburn!

I’m in love with this place because I didn’t think it was possible to find a restaurant that not only has DELICIOUS fare, seats like a lounge (comfy arse seats), not overly loud, plenty of space, TVs to watch sports, happy and attentive staff (Gordo and Val especially) ALL wrapped up in one. First time I’ve ever had venison chili or the BEST Prosecco (ICE COLD) on tap. Both blew my mind. This place is a hidden gem in every facet possible. It’s a perfect reunion, birthday spot, date night, happy hour getaway, or whatever your fancy during the week. The food, STELLAR. It’s gonna be pricey, (no apps or sides under 10 bucks) but with inflation, where else isn’t pricey? In this case, you actually get what you pay for. 11/10 must try if you live in the NOVA area. Taking the fam here for the birthday this year, and am very excited!

I was so looking forward to trying this new place while we were in the area. I’d come across an instagram post hyping this place up and it looked great! Well…. Unfortunately it was the opposite for us. There was no one to greet people when they came in. We stood up front, 2nd in line for a table(mind you, this was NOT during lunch rush. It was after 2pm) a server finally came back and sat us. Brought app plates and silverware before bringing us menus ‍♀️ left us to assist other tables and didn’t come back for at least 10 minutes. When she did, she brought 2 glasses of water and asked if we were ready to order. I’m actually glad we took advantage of their Tuesday special of a burger and fries for $5 because it was not worth more than that. I asked for my burger medium well, it came well done and dry. I just ate it as is. The truffle mac was good. Our server never came back to check on us until we’d stacked our plates and were done. Never asked if we wanted anything else to drink instead of water, never had any sense of urgency.. she was polite.

Another thing I noticed and kinda bothered me, no one had any sense of urgency to bus tables or clean up. 1/4 of the bar still had empty seats with dirty plates and empty glasses. Tables were left the same way. Not very appealing and was just a smidge dirty. Parking was also terrible! Either try to get one of very few spots up front if you wanna be sandwiched in or pay for parking in the back or get lucky and get one of the 3hr parking spots on the opposite end of the shopping center. Needless to say, we will not return. It was very lackluster.
