A group of us came here for dinner on a weeknight while in town for a conference… it was quite a long drive from the oceanfront and convention center area, but was worth it. I called earlier in the day to see if we should make reservations, but was told they wouldn’t be busy. Well, we got there and while they had plenty of tables at 6:30PM, but 7PM that place was completely packed! They had lots of carry-out orders happening too, which all made the kitchen a little slow.

We ordered many dishes to share and all started coming out one after another over the next hour until the beef & broccoli was the last dish. Again, I attribute the slowness of the kitchen to their being so busy. At least all the food that came out was very fresh, tasty, and piping hot.

Some interesting items that were quite good were their potatoes and green peppers. This dish is something I’ve never seen before but was pretty good! It features long julienned potatoes that they clearly soak in water before wok’ing with the peppers – that was all that was in the dish, but it was still tasty. Their Fish in Chili Oil & Bean Sprouts was really tasty and fresh! The fish is flounder. Their spicy wontons in chili oil were very popular with our group too.

Service here was friendly too and helpful. Like I said, we tried many items, so many more than I just outlined and all were nice. I’d definitely return for a slightly more elevated Chinese menu from what you get at the typical Chinese-American joints.

My wife absolutely craves Chinese food. She is a fine connoisseur of all things dim sum. On a business trip I brought my wife to this restaurant and it’s all she can talk about. We have returned specifically to get more of Judy’s wontons in hot chili oil. This is not like the type of Chinese food you get beside a grocery store in a shopping center, I am going to guess it’s much more authentic. I like it, but my wife absolutely raves about it! We’ve tried several dishes and everything has been good. The general Tso chicken is pretty sweet with heavy orange flavor, but sometimes that’s a nice contrast to the numbing chilies in some of the other dishes. If you like hot spicy wontons, this is your place! The service is fast, efficient and friendly, the restaurant is clean and looks nice and is decorated well. We’ve only been there a few times because we only go when we’re in town for business, but it’s always full.

To those about to nosh, we salute you with our chopsticks!

Our organization had a truly wonderful celebration tonight at Judy’s. We welcomed over 80 guests, and from the moment we arrived, the restaurant owners greeted us with genuine warmth and incredible energy that carried through the entire evening.

I had the pleasure of chatting with the husband-and-wife owners, who are down-to-earth, kind, and impressively attentive. The food was served quickly, each plate generously portioned, and every dish was authentic, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Big portions, bold flavors, and not a single disappointed plate. Every bite was a treat.

Our event lasted over three hours, and the team even welcomed us an hour and a half early to help us set up. Throughout the entire time, the staff remained polite, patient, and ready to assist whenever we needed anything. No stress, just hospitality done right.

No matter the size of your group, if you are looking to host a celebration, I highly recommend this restaurant. We requested several special dishes not on the regular menu, and the owners were more than happy to accommodate us. You can speak directly with them, and they will work with you to find options that fit both your taste preferences and your budget.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our evening so memorable. Great food, generous portions, and even better people!

We ordered three spicy foods. We like these. And the service is very good. Give her a thumbs up. The waitress recommended delicious foods for us. And we can communicate with Chinese. Why don’t they open a new restaurant in Richmond? I would like to eat the wonderful Sichuan cuisine every week!

This is an amazing restaurant with quality in service and food. We enjoyed the soup dumplings, shrimp lettuce wraps, chicken and shrimp with mixed veggies, and the sautéed green beans. Even though they were almost at capacity with 2 large groups, I was very impressed with the speed of service.

We were sat right away and offered drinks immediately. We were never without anything and our waitress was very attentive.

The food was beyond expectation and we loved each dish. Highly recommend the sautéed green beans!

My fiance lived in Beijing for a summer and says this is the most authentic sichuan he’s had over here! We love it and the portions are huge, leftovers for days. Get the eggplant!

After browsing for a while, we landed on this spot for a family dinner. Despite the busy evening rush, the wait was surprisingly short (under 10 mins). The menu is incredibly extensive, covering everything from the classics to more unique finds.
We kicked things off with pot stickers for the table, which were savory and perfectly cooked. When the entrees arrived, we were blown away by the scale of the plates—definitely come hungry! My honey glazed chicken had that perfect sticky-sweet balance, the lamb was tender and bold, and the sweet and sour chicken was a total hit with my daughter. Everything felt fresh and vibrant. If you’re looking for a sit-down spot that offers great value and even better flavor, this is it.

Shrimp and broccoli, sweet and sour fish, beef noodle are our favorite. Especially liked by my kids. The spicy dishes are not spicy enough to my opinion, but still taste good.

The food quality of every dish is very good with generous large serving sizes.
