Judy Boone’s Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, home-style atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is outstanding—fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love and care. Every dish tastes like true comfort food done right, with generous portions and incredible attention to detail. The service is just as wonderful as the food: friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell this is a place that truly values its customers. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or bringing family and friends, Judy Boone’s Restaurant delivers an unforgettable experience every time. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back again and again. ❤️ ️✨

I tried the lunch buffet here yesterday and I had never tried this restaurant. As a local I’ve seen it suggested many times so I wanted to give it a try. The staff was so sweet and welcoming from the moment we came through the door. The restaurant is very cute, southern country and home like feeling. Our waitress was so attentive. The buffet isn’t oversized like other places in MB. The quality of the food for me varied in taste.
Their meatloaf is delicious and be sure to try their house made whipped topping. The sweet potatoes were amazing although I got just a small smidge because they were out when I went up multiple times. I grabbed a couple bbq ribs but when I went to eat them literally no meat on them but the sauce on the bones was perfect. They had a nice and clean fully stocked salad bar with a variety of desserts.
Overall the first experience was good and one of the way more affordable buffets in the area.

Everything I got was tasty. Only had to wait maybe 5 minutes to get a table. They have the best lunch buffet for the price at the beach. They keep the food stocked up nothing got low.

Like a family restaurant with home cooked meals on a buffet. Food tastes great. Got a little of everything a southern style restraint can provide. Even has frog legs, ribs, salad bar, fried chicken, Meatloaf, chicken and dumplings and so much more. Constant flow of traffic coming in from tourist and locals alike. Decorated with fishing and boat decor. Very nice setting for family.

The food was a little salty. Also, had a bad experience. I didnt really eat anything. The waitress called a manager over to the table, explained the meats were super fatty and my experience were not good. Didnt want to eat from the buffet. They still charged me. This restaurant lacks consistency and professionalism from management. You can get better quality from other places. I rate higher on the atmosphere because most of the staff are polite and helpful.

Been a family staple for years! Can’t go wrong with the buffet here. Nice salad bar. Creek shrimp and fried flounder are a favorite along with the pulled pork and meatloaf. Lots of yummy southern sides. This is where the locals eat and if you give it a try you’ll see why!

It was okay. Lots of older people and local workers were there for lunch. Not as great as everyone says, but we are glad that we tried it. My family said that the chicken, meatloaf and fried fish as better elsewhere. Side dishes are okay. Hush puppies are crunchy but not very flavorful. Peach cobbler was too sweet for me. Cookies were good. Salad bar is adequate. Service was solid.

Banging country cooking.
We had another great experience at **Judy Boone’s** in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, located in the old Admiral’s Quarters building. Parking is easy with a large lot behind the restaurant (not obvious from the street), and we were lucky enough to snag front-door parking on New Year’s Day.
We came down for New Year’s Day 2026 and were not disappointed. There was a short wait, we were seated quickly, and then invited to help ourselves to the buffet. This is a fantastic country buffet any day of the week, and the New Year’s spread featured traditional favorites like collard greens, black-eyed peas, and hog jowl—items that may also appear on the regular buffet.
The selection was excellent: fried flounder, fried shrimp, fried chicken, baked chicken, barbecue, barbecue ribs, a full salad bar, classic country sides, and desserts. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. The servers stayed on top of things and kept our drinks refilled without hovering.
We’ve eaten here several times in the past, and it continues to deliver. Judy Boone’s is also very reasonably priced, making it an affordable option for a hearty, satisfying meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great country cooking in Murrells Inlet.

I do NOT reviews businesses. We all have good and bad days. However, this place is Amazing. We are in 2026, looking for a place to eat lunch in Murrells Inlet, either the restaurant were closed for lunch or a bar, and Judy’s parking lot was packed. Now, Ralph was having a birthday and had a large family presence. We asked the hostess how much the buffet was? 11.99!! The best deal on food in all of South Carolina. The food was great, fresh, and tasty. A great mix of country cooking, seafoods, and desserts. Our server, Sonya, worked her legs off servicing the entire dinning room. No one had to ask for drinks. Highly recommend Judy’s. Seriously, we had 3 adult buffets cheaper than 2 footlong Firehouse sandwiches.
