If you blink, you’ve passed it. Traveling by and stopped for early lunch on a Saturday. They serve breakfast all day on Saturday but I test places by the burger.
The burger was made fresh and they are big. The flavor of the meat was sort of bland but good. The onion rings were delicious, especially with the homemade ranch.

Jud’s is a fixture in Monroe NC and has been for over 50 years. I went with the double hamburger with everything including onions and slaw. Patties are a generous size. I have french fries with the side of sausage gravy, and it was the bomb. Pay attention to the hours cause they’re a little different than your average.

I’m working from out of state and eat here at least twice a week. It is in fact homemade. All of it. Amazing. All that food you see was only 20 bucks with tip….

Many years in business and I stopped in on a Wednesday at 3 and there were still customers and excellent service and friendly and hard working staff!
I missed the lunch special by being late myself but ordered the hamburger steak with grilled onions and they said pick 3 veggies and I did pick mashed potatoes, limas, and fried okra and cornbread.
All were so good I ordered the vegetable soup and it was great also!

After getting our vaccine shot this morning my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice breakfast. We don’t live around Monroe so we had to search a bit. Jud’s came up with high marks, and it looked like the kind of place that we like. A local diner that’s been around a long time. It sure didn’t disappoint! They have a pretty wide selection of food, and the prices are very reasonable. We went with some basics. My wife had 3 pancakes and bacon, and I had 3 French toast with bacon. At $4.99 each, it is a great deal. Both meals were perfect, and the wait staff were all friendly and attentive. They’ve apparently been around since 1952, so they obviously know how to keep their customers happy. I would highly recommend Jud’s for anyone in the Monroe area. We’ll definitely be back the next time we are near.

This is my first time (as an adult) going to Jud’s. My mom used to eat here (and bring it home after working) when I was a little boy. I had the day off today, so I tried this for breakfast, and the food was great, and PLENTIFUL. I AM FULL! A couple of well cooked pork chops, some scrambled eggs, toast, AND hash browns, made for a great breakfast. The wait staff was nice, and for my first time inside this place that I grew up seeing for so many years, it was a nice experience. I’ll definitely be back here (maybe on Fish Wednesday or Friday ).

This is my first time here and I really love it. The atmosphere feels like you’re stepping back in time. They don’t play any music which makes for a nice conversation. Also, they have crushed ice.

This is probably the last time we try Judds. I’m from Union County, so I know they have been around a long time. But the past several times we have been in, it has been money wasted. They always run out of things, which we knew, but took a chance anyway. And yep, they were out of 3 things that we wanted to order. We ordered something else. My husband ordered a salad and got nothing but a bowl of lettuce and a tomato. Just call it what it is. Not a salad, it’s a bowl of lettuce. He asked for half and half tea, but only got unsweetened tea. Our order finally came out, but both our orders were wrong. They brought out the correct order but the mac n cheese was fridge cold. The cornbread made a sound when it hit the plate it was so hard. I was sick I had to pay for this. I will say, the waitress was nice though.
