Best sushi I’ve had in a long time! We had three rolls — Dragon, Blue fin and mango and they were all delicious. Tasty miso also. Friendly service and super cute patio for outdoor seating with plenty of heaters for winter time! Will be back.

The staff are always friendly and the servers are efficient.
I particularly like the freshness of their sashimi and nigiri, which are the beat in the Bay Area.
The combination of rolls and sushi is great.
The interior is good, but the atmosphere on the outdoor patio is especially beautiful.

Love the patio ambiance and murals. The sashimi salad was excellent with good balance of spicy sweet sour taste from the apple strips. Also their rice is GOOD. Will go back to try more rolls.

My dine-in experience here has always been good, but never order takeout from here. Rolls were barely coherent, sort of mashed to one side of the box, and there was a random piece of saran wrap just mixed in with the mess. Do yourself a favor and don’t order takeout or delivery from here.

The presentation of salmon rolls is really beautiful and taste was very good. Kids enjoyed their meals served in boat shaped plate. The servers were friendly and helpful.
Place has nice and warm atmosphere with nice interior.

The food was top tier. I had the Ootoro Combo and the Rose Roll. The roll was a little on the frigid side, but the toro was very fine and came with a few flavor modifiers like shiso, truffle, and a wasabi sauce. The food was presented very quickly and looked great. So that’s the good, and it was good. Now the bad: the service. Not only we’re the servers absent upon my entrance, but they just gaped at me once I found them. The chefs behind the counter at the very least greeted me, but the servers offered nary a syllable. A chef told me that the counter was closed, which was strange to say the least, so I was escorted by a mute server to a patio area. I walked out and they just sort of started talking to one another. I asked if I should just sit anywhere and they generally gestured toward the tables. The rest of the meal was like this, though they did ask about the food at one point; I had no problem with the food. And finally, the ugly: the patio smell. The patio smells of a toilet. That’s unacceptable. More than the savor of the well-marbled tuna, that smell sticks with me… A disappointing first visit.

4 words: Blue Fin Lover’s Roll. If you come here, it is a must order. It is now my favorite sushi roll to date. It’s got black truffle pate and it changed the game. More sushi establishments should utilize black truffle. The dragon roll was also fantastic. Service was great. Rolls were delivered faster than we could finish our complementary miso soup.

They have done a good job renovating the outdoor seating. It is very pleasant, lots of plants (fake though) and patio heaters. I love that it is dog friendly. The sushi is delectable and satisfying. We ordered the salmon skin hand roll, the Yami-Yami, the Sexy Casanova and the Hot Ninja 2. Prices have gone way up since last time I was here about a year ago, but in all fairness everything has gone way up.

The spicy scallop hand roll, miso soup and salad were delicious. As for nigiri plates, it’s always a gamble when the chef get to pick the fish. Most of the fish I ended up with were one’s I wouldn’t pick on my own. I saved the fish, that I would have ordered, for the end of my meal. Unfortunately they didn’t have the flavor profiles that I was hoping for.
Please keep in mind that I don’t dip my fish into any soy sauce either, so it may taste fine if you do.
