The food was very disappointing from the start. The pico de gallo salsa had almost no flavor—I had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper just to make it taste like something. I ordered tacos, but the tortillas were cold and the meat was cold as well. When I tried the rice, it was hard and clearly undercooked.
I mentioned the issues to the bartender, who turned out to be the owner. I would have expected at least an offer to replace the meal or possibly comp something, but that didn’t happen. I was still charged full price.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, but at least it was a lesson learned. I personally would not recommend this place and would encourage others to try a different restaurant if you’re looking for good Mexican food.

Unfortunately, multiple meals came out cold (5 in total), and we mentioned it immediately – calmly and respectfully – because we assumed they’d want the chance to fix it.
Our waitress, Yemi, was honestly the best part of the lunch. She was attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic. She handled everything with professionalism and grace.
The manager (who may also be a cook) is what ruined it. He was angry, hostile, combative and argumentative right away – and what stood out most is he didn’t even lead with solutions like re-cooking, replacing plates, or trying to make it right. No real apology for the food, and definitely no apology for the experience. It wasn’t until AFTER we told him his attitude was awful and that he needs to leave us alone and let the waitress handle it (as he is making things worse) that he offered to either take the meals off the bill or remake them- and he didn’t apologize at all, then with a massive chip on his shoulder he said again he didn’t believe our food was cold. Some of us said take their food off the bill and some one of us had it remade.
At the end as we were leaving, he actually doubled down on his awfulness and gave what felt like a sorry excuse for an apology. His version of “sorry” was basically: “I should have been nicer when telling you that you were wrong about the food being bad or cold.” Then he said, “I’m sorry, I’m just really passionate about my food – especially when I’m told it was cold when I know it was hot.”….. SERIOUSLY!? That’s your apology for our experience and multiple people immediately telling you the food was cold, why would that many people lie…. Wow
So… not an apology for our experience, not an apology for the cold food – more like “sorry you saw me get upset while I told you you were wrong.”
Food mistakes happen. How management handles them is what matters – and this was handled terribly. We won’t be returning, and I’m sharing this so others know what to expect. Again, Yemi was great – she deserved way more support than she got.
We decided to stop and have lunch!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere! This place was bright and cheery!
The chips and salsa was yummy. The Pico was super mild so we asked for a bit spicier salsa and boy did they deliver!
The kids had bean and cheese burritos, they were huge! I had nachos with no meat. Easy to make pretty much everything on the menu vegetarian.
We had wine and beer too. 4 meals and two alcoholic beverages and our ticket only came out to 54$
There was street parking on the side 2 hour max, free!
And right in front only 20 min parking.
Anyway if your passing through and looking for a quick bite that delicious and affordable, definitely stop here!!!
Oh one more thing, this place has a nice big seating area for private party!
Came to Juan’s to experience a new Mexican cuisine, and boy were we impressed. Walking in the front of the building you are welcomed with an array of colors symbolizing the mexican heritage. All the employees were friendly and attentive to all our needs, especially our waiter Rolo. The food was incredible. My favorite was the sampler plate – specifically the chimichangas. That could have been a meal for 2 in itself!
My husband and I loved the salsa. This is the only mexican restaurant that puts a spoon in their salsa – genius!
The fajitas with chicken was great. Their beans and rice were classic! They did not skimp on the sour cream, that was a plus.
My husband had the Carne Asada Tampiquina. He did not expect a full steak, but he was happy with how it was cooked – medium rare.
We will definitely be back!
Also looks like they might have a room for events, but we didnt ask.
