Stopped here on a whim. It’s a little hole in the wall but made a statement! We had Nachos and a Jerk Burrito, Sangria Margarita, and local beer. Everything was delicious! We got there right at opening. That’s why only 4 stars on service. He was still setting up but that’s not a problem! We totally enjoyed this little place!

This place was clean, service was good, food it was ok. My fish tacos were done tastefully but it seemed that just needed something else. The atmosphere was good, a bit noisy, but just enough to have a conversation.

One of the best restaurants on Oak Street! Great service, so many menu options, fun atmosphere, and never a long wait! The food is all delicious, and the margaritas are splendid as well. I especially love the gutter punk burrito and the lemon berry margarita. I take a lot of my out of town friends here when they visit! They are also very accommodating when a large party pays separately, which I appreciate.

I’ve been here several times since it’s the closest location to me.. the last two times I’ve ordered for pickup, the guy got my ordered wrong. This time, my order was again wrong completely. The entire order. From my chicken quesadilla to my fiancé bowl.. it’s the foh & kitchen fault.. the guy rings up what he wants & the kitchen cooks the food how they want since it’s to go. Tell me if this looks like “light beans”? I asked for my chicken quesadilla dressed with only lettuce, pickled jalapeños & pico/salsa on the side and the sour cream.. no sour cream and my quesadilla had cheese & avocado. I was lividddddd .. just for me to go back bc I wanted the quesadilla fixed since I spent $40 on this order.. order was wrong again. The girl with all of the beauty marks all over is always nice & accommodating. Anytime she takes my order even when I order at bar, my stuff comes out right. Most likely won’t be returning here anymore.

Ate here for lunch. The chips and salsa you have to buy. They were terrible. I would not recommend. Salsa is watered down. Quite gross. Ordered a margarita during happy hour. It was mediocre. Ordered three pulled pork tacos. Those were pretty good actually. A little greasy but overall good. I would not recommend this place. It is in a nice area of New Orleans though.

Everything about this place is great and fits. Atmosphere is cool/great for all ages, nice server, gluten free friendly, and man does the food taste great. Saw fish tacos were recommended by another review…yeah, best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Fresh fish, swapped out flour for corn tortillas, when cupped everything fit perfectly…and definitely filling. Got it with yellow rice. (Which was only *slightly* dry.)

Everything was plated beautifully and was absolutely delicious. I had the Jerk Shrimp and Mango Salad. I’m honestly getting hungry just thinking about it again. The flavors were very balanced and had a lot of depth. If everyone at my table wasn’t insisting their food was the best item on the menu I probably would order that every time I go back. We also got the salsa and guacamole which were both extremely fresh and flavorful. I normally don’t like mild salsa but I would order this again.
I had a lime margarita and a jalapeño one. Neither was anything special.
The atmosphere was very chill and would be perfect for really anything, friends, family, ect.
The only reason they aren’t getting 5 stars is our server was not great. I was at the uptown location which is fairly new so I have high hopes that aspect will improve as they gain experience.

Very small inconsistent portions. Inconsistent cooking. Nice stuff but the food is very bad most of the time. I will not be going back even in the most desperate of situations.

A neighbor of ours told us she worked here so bae didn’t to stop by & we decided to give the Juan’s flying burritos a try.
I remember thinking about the location on Carrollton Avenue but had no idea that this location was open.
Anyway we were immediately greeted upon entry & placed our order at the bar.
I’m not sure if the lady was a bartender or attendant but she was really nice & answered any question we had about the menu.
I think bae got like a margarita with the salt & lemon & a burrito
After all isn’t that what this place is known for
I took a couple of pictures for you.
I can’t remember the name of the exact burrito I got but it had chicken, shrimp & beef I think
Anyway it was DELICIOUS .
The place was pretty busy & since we had decided to take our meal to go we really didn’t stay that long.
The time that was spent there was great in my opinion; attentive & friendly staff, nice clean decor & environment.
I look forward to visiting again
Thanks Juan’s flying burrito!

We walked here from the trolly and it wasn’t far. . The place was small but cozy.
Our waitress was very pleasant and patient as we didn’t really know what we wanted, and she was very friendly.
The food here is Mexican meets creole. So the Spanish rice had some creole seasoning and same with the chicken in the enchiladas. But real tasty.
I got a Mango mojito, it was good but had too much mint leaves, I could barely suck up drink from the straw.
We also had the chicken enchiladas and they were delicious. Also some street tacos, my son had two carnitas and some chicken kind, with red sauce, and it came with Cojita cheese. The were not good. I like the carnitas better. When I visit again I will try something else.
