Juancho’s in Homewood is by far the best authentic Mexican food around. The flavor thw get in every single dish is amazing. We had birria tacos, tamales, burritos, Chilaquiles, tortas, and more items. Everything is delicious! I even did a catering order for a party and they knocked it out of the park. If you are looking for great authentic Hispanic food I highly recommend.

Not bad at all! I had the birria tacos(first time ever having them) 8/10 great flavor juicy pretty tender meat only thing is it’s very meaty most people would love that but I would like it a little more proportioned. Consomé was very delicious so much flavor and color!!! My husband had the nachos he said it was a 7.5/10 meat could’ve been more flavorful but overall good!

My coworker ordered here for lunch, so I decided to join in. I tried the guacamole and chips, and it’s definitely overpriced for the small amount that you get. The guacamole was a bit watered down looking and didn’t taste that great. I got a steak taco, and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not, and it was delicious. I would order from them again, but I would skip the guacamole next time.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, but my recent visit was disappointing. I sat for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. When other customers came in after me, they were immediately greeted with chips, salsa, and water, while I was still waiting.When the waitress finally approached me, she asked what I wanted to order without offering the same basic service the other guests received. As an African-American customer who supports this neighborhood business, the difference in treatment was noticeable and upsetting.I hope management addresses this, because I’ve always enjoyed this place and would like to continue supporting it. Everyone should be treated the same I was African-American and they were Mexican

This review is just based on my first experience here, but everything was perfect this first time. My order was ready when I got there, the employee was super friendly, the restaurant was clean.
And the most important part – the food was absolutely delicious. I think this was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in the Chicagoland area. The Al pastor tacos were so flavorful and the meat was super tender. The corn in a cup was so delicious, and I love that they didn’t skimp on the toppings. They have a cucumber lime drink which is also delicious.
This will be my new go to spot if I want Mexican food! I will update this review if I have more experiences.

Rice and beans were a hit. Taco shells seemed precooked so they were not flexible but a little hard. Steak was tough. Tamales were dry and microwaved. I thought I was buying fresh and authentic food but I guess they decided to cut corners on my food today. Flavors were there but an epic fail for me. Staff was nice.

Place is super clean. Everyone is super friendly. Service was exceptionally fast. And oh my goodness, the tacos are INCREDIBLE! I had a shrimp taco and a chicken taco. All the sauces are delicious too! Unbelievably high quality food for an insanely affordable price.
