Potato salad was sour, order a pink lemonade and they needed to replace it, got my food and had to wait for 10 minutes and remind them about 2 times as they forgot about it. The staff spends more time chit chatting than working.

Nah this was bad bad. We ordered their Juan’s burrito but it didn’t even come wrapped it was molded to burrito shaped with rips and rice busting out. We asked for beans but got rice instead. I should’ve just order the potato salad. Sad a Mexican got a disappointed burrito. These workers talk about rolling blunts but can’t even wrap a burrito. The bathroom was really nice.

I have been enjoying Juan Pollo for over 30 years! (OMG… that’s a long time!) I live out of state now, but was craving the juicy, flavorful chicken; rice; and potato salad during my visit. I was NOT disappointed. Just as delicious and same great quality from over 30 years ago. Kudos Juan Pollo team! Good on ya!

AVOID this establishment at all costs. I had one of the most embarrassing encounters of my life over some BEANS.
They will make mess up your order, ACKNOWLEDGE that their employees are the ones who made mistakes, refuse to fix your order, refuse to give you a refund, and then call the cops on you when they hear other patrons coming up to you saying that it’s Juan Pollos mistake and they should correct it.

My family ordered takeout from this Juan Pollo tonight for a large group, which we have many times in the past. Upon getting home we noticed they didn’t give us any of the chicken. I immediately drove back and while I was driving a family member called me and said they gave us an extra XL rice instead of an XL beans.
The manager REFUSED to give us our XL beans unless we went back home, got our extra XL rice, and returned it to them. They offered a large beans, extra tortillas, and salsa, but would NOT give us the XL beans we ordered. I told them I didn’t want any extra salsa or tortillas, just the food we ordered, but they wouldn’t budge unless we went home and brought back the extra side of rice. It was weird and frustrating imo. Also pretty disgusting because why are they so adamant about bringing back the food if they aren’t going to resell it?
The manager admitted she was working on bagging two orders at once and that’s how our sides got swapped, and that a new employee didn’t know online order’s had their chicken bagged on arrival which is why we didn’t get ours. Despite the manager acknowledging all the mistakes were on their end, they still wanted me to waste my gas on making THREE trips to their business over THEIR mistakes. The whole situation was shocking and confusing.

They also refused to refund. Said we would need to contact DoorDash even though we ordered directly from their website? Idk I still can’t believe all this happened over a side of beans.

Juan Pollo in Upland pretty much ruined part of our Easter Sunday festivities. Ordered our food ahead of time online, was quoted a time of my food being ready by 2:25 pm and an hour later, I was still waiting for my food. While I waited for my food, I would like to point out that there were approximately 35 people that they gave their food ahead of my order. They continued to ask for our patience, but Maria, their manager or lead at the time was passive aggressive, was rude to costumers who were asking about their food and everyone working with her seemed overwhelmed. While waiting, they ran out of fresh rice, they ran out of fresh chicken & not once did they apologize or told me specifically what was going on. I just heard the shouting. They got about 7 orders wrong and people had to come back to get what they were missing. Maria was so upset that she essentially just tossed a man’s order who had been waiting for potato salad; the gentleman at the cashier apologized on her behalf, but she was plain rude, flustered and unprofessional. I should have listened to the online reviews which were all right. Finally when my food did come out, their green salad was disguising and not fresh, two of the three chickens in our family pack seemed undercooked and we didn’t fully enjoy and the rice did not taste as fresh as they claimed.

I will NOT be returning to this location and my plans for any future catering orders went out the window. I refuse to give service to an establishment that got it all wrong.

And plain and simple, their manager/lead needs to be re-trained. I will have to spread the word to others about the quality of their food as I would hate for anyone to get good poisoning or have to deal with similar complications.

Even people who had ordered their food over two weeks ago were having issues. I know as a fact that this was a complete failure and I would expect others to write similar reviews. It was an all around awful experience.
