One of our all-time favorite foods is now here in Dubai at Deira City Centre – Food Central, and we honestly couldn’t be happier. I still remember exactly how it tasted back home… and trust me, it’s the same. Absolutely amazing.
As someone who’s currently on a very strict diet, I only planned to taste a little. I ordered the wings, and to my surprise, the marination went all the way to the bone. That’s when you know it’s done right. The beef soup? It instantly took me back to my hometown I literally finished the whole bowl.
Customer service was also excellent, thank you to George and Alex for being so accommodating.
We also know the owner is very popular in our home country and my parents have always admired him, so congratulations on bringing this business to Dubai! That said, we hope the focus continues to be on the food itself. There’s so much to be proud of because everything was done the right way.
We’ll definitely be back.
You can choose between plain rice and garlic rice, and I personally prefer the garlic rice because it adds more flavor to the meal. I also like ordering the chicken liver, it’s tasty enough to be a main dish on its own.
I’ve been here many times, and every visit has been consistently good. Overall, the food is flavorful, filling, and definitely worth coming back for.
It was a Sunday night when we visit and no long queues. It was fast and waiting time only takes 20mins.
Maybe will try again, and maybe not.
What really stood out was the excellent service. Big thanks to Edmon, Joel, Jesson, and Gerald for being very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our meal.
Highly recommended for anyone craving good Filipino food with great service. Will definitely come back!
The Pecho Inasal (breast and wings) was impressively soft and juicy, which is hard to achieve with white meat. However, the flavor felt a bit lacking. I’m not sure if the marinade is naturally bland or if it just didn’t soak through. The real star, though, was the Corazon (chicken heart)! It was the most flavorful of the three and much better than I expected.
One major disappointment was the rice quality. Since it’s a Filipino chain and the rice isn’t “unlimited,” I expected premium, fragrant rice. I’d highly recommend the management consider a better rice brand to match the quality of the meats.
Must try: Corazon!
We ordered leg-and-thigh chicken with garlic rice. I expected garlic fried rice, but it turned out to be steamed rice topped with garlic crisps and drizzled with chicken oil. The garlic crisps were nice, but I wish they skipped the oil, I prefer adding it myself.
The grilled chicken was juicy, but sadly bland. Parang kulang sa marinade.. the flavor didn’t go all the way in. I honestly expected more because of the social media hype, so medyo disappointed. A little ginger, lemongrass, sugar (like soda), and lots of pepper would level it up.
As a Pinoy, I’d love to recommend this to other nationalities, but with all the flavorful options here in the UAE (tandoori, charcoal chicken, roasted chicken, etc.), JT’s needs to step up its marinade game. I still finished my meal because gutom is real and 30+ AED is not to be wasted.
Hoping they improve, maybe I’ll try again, but not anytime soon..
